Shield of Atlantis Leandros Navaar / Dorm Commons
As he stood, both anxiously waiting to see if Selene was okay and for the training to begin, he simply watched the grouping of people waiting for Noxaura's answer. She seemed confused at his question, like it was odd for someone to check on them. The thought of that was alien to Leandros. He was asked that so many times back on Earth it almost drove him insane, but it was necessary. If anyone got infected with anything, that meant a raid on a hospital or death. The latter being much more likely. Her answer was flat and ambiguous. She tried to deflect the question over to Selene, but she had someone caring for her who probably knew more than he did about this sort of thing. Leandros was no doctor. He could field dress a wound easily enough and knew enough about basic infections to get by, but in this new strange world, he didn't know.
Selene rising awake cut off Leandros' answer to that. It seemed she was taken care of just fine by Haedyn. He hoped he could be just as reliable in the future if it ever came to that. With all the commotion gone, his Drak was brought out in leather armor which Arabella didn't appreciate. Leandros thanked the Lantian and checked on his Drak. She snapped and pulled at her straps mercilessly with Leandros attempting to calm her down. Even with the lighter leathers she still felt uncomfortable and he thought today's training was going to be difficult. This Drak didn't seem suited to combat, a lot like him. Then again, they were bound and maybe this was the reason. She is more adept at protecting that attacking. He finally calmed his Drak down and they followed after Noxaura to the training field.
He stood with the rest of the cadets watching as Haedyn mounted his Drak and took his place in the arena. The huge Drak seemed to enjoy the land it took place on and Leandros wondered if Arabella would be like that one day. He laughed to himself at the thought. Even imagining she could be as vicious and stalwart looking as that was a sight to see, especially with her clumsiness and friendly demeanor. Arabella, at his leg, chirped at him as the thought passed between them. She didn't like him thinking such things about her.

Haedyn leaned forward to whispered Sceltyr’s ear and her eyes would swivel about to land on Selene’s approaching form as the rest of group followed the Ruka Commander. She nodded as he finished and made his way away. Shard water was a cure all to most problems, and in her own experience worked only as temporary Band-Aid. Luminous blue eyes would focus tightly on Selene as Haedyn and Doevis paraded away.
Turning back Tyr would find the group of cadets assembling around her. She nodded to them and tugging the last strap of Aerdis’ harness she looked at each of them for a moment her blue eyes scanning more than just the surface conditions of her Cadets. Pausing a moment longer on Selene once again she took note that the girl’s aether channels were a little disjointed. She had a feeling the girl was just worn down and decided to talk to her after the lesson before she started.
“To wield a weapon in combat such as Aether or blades and guns are all fine. But what happens when you lose you side arm and your aether reserves have all but vanished. This is when you must never forget, your strongest weapon of all.” She lifted her right hand the silver runes running its length pulsated with a pale glow that matched both her and Aerdis’ heart beat. As she did this his eyes seemed to dialate a fraction and his focus became sharp, he lifted up on his front wings his chest arching out to show almost matching runes that glowed on the Drak’s skin beneath the feather scale. She turned “First I will demonstrate and then, I will Teach you the method. Move to the railing of the ring but do not enter the ring.” She took ahold of the collar harness on Aerdis’ neck and placing a foot onto his wing was boosted into his saddle. Swinging around his neck she lifted her hand again and said a soft word the Cadet’s would just hear over the deep rumble of Aerdis’ growls.
“Challenge…” Aeris’ neck arched back as his head retracted and suddenly snapping forward Aerdis produced a truly feral roar that shook the very earth he stood upon. His blaze feathers lifted in much the same way a cocaktils would as he bellowed his challenge to Doevis’ crouched form. Then lifting her right hand the runes glowed brighter on her arms and Aerdis reacted as if drawn by strings to leap into the air his wings thrusting a great burst of wind upon the Cadet’s in his wake. Then as quick as the aerial drak was up her came swooping down to land on the water turf of the large training ring.
Doevis lowered his head to fully display his horns as Aerdis roared the challenge at him. Growling deep in his lungs a crimson glow would produce along the ridge of his maw. Haedyn also took on a lethal appeal stooping low over his Blade’s shoulders. The golden runes on his side lit like molten iron under his skin. As Aerdis landed in the ring though Doevis would respond with a roar of his own the depths of his throat showing the glow of his fires burning within.
Aerdis swept low on his wings as he landed his hand arched backwards and to the side in an S position his feathers still splayed fully forward as he hissed and snarled, his long tail swept around his circular formed body to whip back and forth to his side the large talon blades on his tail reflected the sun in much the same way metal would. Tyr swept low on his shoulders was almost like a tick on his back, she was not coming off, the two draks faced off and for a moment seemed only to size one another up when something in the air changed between the two draks. Like an electrical pop sounding in the atmosphere the two suddenly charged. Doevis came nearly a all the way across before the slower mage had time to serpantine his way closer to the blade. A feral shriek sounded as Suddenly Doevis took a step into Aerdis’ striking range.
The Mage’s head snapped forward like a whip the bite landing on the Blade’s sensitive thumb joint. Doevis stumbled in his charge as aerdis’ head slipped away to safety. He had to be quick though for Doevis himself was a giant bundle of razors. The Mage slinked back in a weird manner his back end practically dragging his front half, it was clear Mage’s were horrid at backing up on ground.
Doevis whip his own tail about to deflect Aerdis’ Tail. The two continued like this for a few minutes more neither dragon ever able to place a good hit on the other. But during this battle their riders remained locked on their backs almost in a Daze as their both staired blankly forward.
Finally Aerdis’ pulled back his front half lifting by flapping his wings his head lifted and he made a strange “CALACK” Sound and Doevis halted his brutal charge forward on the smaller mage. Doevis shuffled his head with a smug look on his face while Aerdis dropped back down to the ground. The two draks turned and started to move back towards the railing where the Cadet should be sitting. Their riders remained in a frozen state until only a few feet from the railing. Haedyn was the first to sit up his hands lifting first away from Doevis to come up and ruffle his shaggy mop of hair. His golden eyes strayed away from the group, the pair felt they should have done better.
Then Tyr sat up her runes falling silent once more she sat up and focused her silvery blue eyes on the group.
“Now what you just witnessed was Haedyn and Myself fusing our own conscious with our Draks to battle with them. You do this by falling completely into your Aether pool then once your eyes open again, you will be in your Draks mind able to influence and control their actions.“ she glanced about before running a hand through her bangs real quick she ask s ”Any questions?”

WORD-636 NOTES: Nothing to say right now.
| Mid Morning Snack ✘
Azqua watched the funny Lantian boy as he mumbled about Selene, her keen ears and easedropping manner caught that her roommate had fallen out in the Armory. A growl rolled through Snapyre to silence the Lantian boy the grumble only deepened when Ceres made her nervous remark. Azi patted Snap’s shoulder and watched the group until Haedyn came ambling back up. Apparently Selene was fine if the tall man whom had left only moments before was already back. Azi’s eyes followed his path back to spot the rest of the Cadet’s and woozy looking Selene stumbling up the lawn towards them. She slide down from Snapyre’s back as Selene came to stand beside them.
Her demonic eyes ran over selene assessing the girl before she simply placed a hand on Selene’s forearm and gave a light squeeze until Selene met her vision. It was the way Azi normally got the older girls attention. She didn’t like to talk that much. But maybe that’s why she liked Selene so much, the girl practically screamed with body language, so much like the animals and creatures of Earth. After getting a good look in Selene’s eyes she would cut a slightly harsh glare. “Don’t do that again.” Her raspy small voice whispered with hardly any form of emotion clinging to it.
Finally she released Selene’s arm as Tyr had started to talk about showing them something. The small girl nearly leaped from her skin when Aerdis’ roared his challenge to the world. Her demonic eyes cutting to the large Mage in a sinister way that clearly read KILL. Her body had gone rigid again and Snapyre looked only to pleased as Azi seemed to click into a defensive manner. Like the chain and collar of her humanity was slipping away from binding her ways.
Suddenly Aerdis was up and out of her reach ,Azi came back to herself in a smaller jolt, her jaw relaxed and her pupils expanded as tight muscles released. The rest of the group seemed to be moving towards the railing that encircled the training field so Azi turned and pushed Snapyre to follow the group. She halted at the railing just as the two Adult Draks charged one another.
The battle would be brutal, she could see that from the first strike Aerdis made, the two draks clearly knew each other’s weaknesses, and how to exploit them. Then there was the fact that the two never landed severe enough blow to the other, always seeming to be ahead of the other’s actions. Azi noticed right away that Tyr and Haedyn had gone rigid in their saddles while the runes on their bodies glowed to the pulse of their heart beats it would appear. It didn’t take her long to figure out what was going on, the riders weren’t home so to speak.
After the battle the two large Draks strolled over and their riders came back from the haze they had been in. Tyr didn’t explain very much, and Azi had to admit it was easy to figure out the What but the How was a little more tricky in her mind. She looked at Snapyre and realized a second hurdle, their draks were both huge, while the Cadet’s own draks were stil small, other than Azi only a few Could actually ride their drak let alone have it battle while their rider slowed them so. Was this a strengthening lesson she wondered. All this thoughts buzzed about her over analytical mine. But she never spoke a word. She preferred to sit back and watch to see if any other others would realize the same issues she had. Also she was one to always gauge her surroundings and those within them, in a way it was Azi’s own form of testing her future ‘Allies’

( WORDS ) 1147 ( TAGGED ) Everyone ( MUSE ) None After waking up Selene she had no idea was going on. She had felt extremely feral and it was right on the brink if it had been anyone else holding her she likely would have bit into their neck. Undine had shown her in pictures what had happened and she supposed that weird stuff was what helped her reached the state she was in. She had to admit whatever she had been giving certainly did something to her. Not exactly in a good way or bad... Neutral but she was still trying to decide if she would have rather to fight the fever the normal human way. This shard stuff was making her feel odd that is if it was even the shard stuff. While It made it so she no longer had the fogginess from the fever nor the actual fever however she was not sure what is up with the shaking and wooziness. Was that a side effect?
It was nice that that the commanders seemed to not go into detail therefore saving her further issues of being the center of attention but if the stuff she was given had side effects she would have liked to know. Cause she was still feeling something and she did not know if it was side effects or if it was from left over fever. Well whatever she had come out here with a full blown fever and passed out she would be ashamed of herself if she let side effects or left over fever stop her from doing what she had planned on doing. Even if she did not feel fully like herself. At least she was not dead or whatever right? She thought sarcastically to herself before trying to make sense of the insanity around her. Somehow everyone snuck up on her and was now formed around her. So she felt herself suddenly having a brain repeat.
Selene continued to feel out of sorts. from the sound of it from the Lantian's this stuff was suppose to make her feel better. Then why the heck did she still feel out of sorts? Sure she did not feel like walking death before but she still felt slightly shaky and still felt slightly out of it. She certainly was not her graceful self and despite everything else her mood still was there meaning it pissed her off. So at least her signature glare was bad but anyone with working vision could tell there was still something up with her. She was not completely up from being downed. However she had enough of being the center of attention so she attempted to blend in the best she could with the other Cadet's seeing they had more or less snuck up on her anyways and with that she just simply stood the best she could with the rest of them.
She of course felt familiar demonic eyes run over her before she felt a touch on her forearm. She looked down as she gave a light squeeze causing her to meet her vision completely instead of looking at the touch which honestly confused her slightly. Azi was not known for touching people. Then again she had done it a few times sparely in order to get her attention in times of larger groups. She silently looked at Azi waiting for the reason for her to get her attention. Suddenly she was given a harsh glare and said not to do that again. There was hardly any emotion clinging to it. Most might have taken offense or been said but Selene just continued to stare at Azi almost blankly. Their relationship was a strange one. Mostly one of convenience really. They did not annoy each other and they both knew they could watch each other's back if someone went rogue.Friendship was pushing it.
Though to outsiders it did not seem that way. She had heard the stupid nickname others thought themselves clever enough to come up with... Once she was released she turned towards Tyr to give her attention again. She noticed the woman kept an eye on her a little longer and Selene did not bother to hold in the annoyed sigh that had been threatening to bubble from her for awhile. So the commander could stare at her longer to check on her but god forbid they told her anything? So what if she passed out... She was alive right? Geez... Blue eyes glowed slightly as light hit them. She was not pleased with this. Perhaps she should have passed out somewhere else... That way she could have lied and said she was playing hooky. It would have been better than this. She rather have people angry at her and deal with military discipline than have people looking at her with curiosity and pity...
When Aerdis gave a roar of challenge Selene was to far gone to the world to really give a damn. She just looked at the drak. She did give a slight shift towards Azi who looked like she wanted to jump out of her skin. Looking feral and ready to kill again. Snapyre of course looked sadistically amused at her bondmate being so defensive. Selene gave a smaller sigh at that. Thankfully Doevis took to the field and it seemed like things more or less cooled down for Azi. Selene had to admit she did not like the way they were fighting. It reminded her to much of those 'dog' fighting rings she saw only they often had people or even children in them due to the lack of said dogs. She however kept that little piece to herself and watched as the two drak fought each other. It seemed from the mind connection as both Tyr and Haedyn had a trance like look on their face.
She honestly had to say she was not really looking forward to this for multiple reasons. Mostly because of the memories it brought back. She figured Undine would keep her from breaking out completely but then again hadn't Undine been sick too? Would it be fair to her Drak to put her through fighting? Selene did not care about herself when it came to these things and often glared and growled. Undine did not have that type of personality. She was like a goof ball until shit hit the fan but this was training which meant she likely would be silent maybe but if she had just felt like she did and still did then she did not know what to do now... She was willing to stick around for the training because she was not a quitter but if she had to use Undine who was also weakened as the weapon then she might have to sit this one out unless she felt Undine was up to it. She was one thing but Undine was another.

Dormz ?!
Words: 640 :: WITH: EVERY1As Ceres played along with him be felt eternally grateful to his fellow Lantian being in the class with him now. His red eye darted back to the demon Pixie and noticed Selene was now swaying at her side. At least azi was good for looking out for Selene, and so Aelous felt no more need to keep and eye out for trauma in the girl. Though it was clear she was still off. He was unsure if the Shard water hadn’t done the trick, or if it was just an echo her body telling her she wasn’t alright when she was already recovered. He snapped out of his reverie as Tyr called for their attention. As always explaining very little she straddled her Mage and took to the skies, only to plummet directly into the ring. Aelous and Eerus scrambled across the field ready to see some action. He had watched the Drak Fights in the time of peace, he’d very much enjoyed them. You could place bids on which rider would win and earn a lot of shard on the side. His eye was hungry as he watched the pair begin. Practically salivating, it was clear the young Lantian was ready to have a drak with which he would do battle from. That thought put the young blade off his perch as he cut a mean red glare at his companion. His chest puffing up he would just have to how his bond mate just how Capable this Young Drak was. Aelous could feel the simmering temper of Eerus at his side and looked down at him with an apologetic grin. “Don’t get me wrong Boyo! I don’t want just Any Drak, I want You to be that big! I can’t Wait til we can battle together!” In his explanation to his Drak he’d completely missed Tyr and Haedyn’s approach. He shut up when he noticed her blazing blue eyes on him and kneeled down beside his drak to scratch and itch Eerus pretended to have for his companion’s sake. Tyr explained and Haedyn was silent, as per usual, and Aelous smiled at the end of Tyr’s explanation. He’d already learned how to See through Eerus, so he figured he’d be able to find the bond quickly and be able to get response. But he was a little worried about hurting his drak. Eerus however would have none of this. He snorted and shook his body trying to step around Aelous’ arm to get into the ring ready to go . “Wait!” Aelous pleaded. “Soon enough,” He whispered to halt his drak’s progression. He wondered if Cere’s was having the same problems with Christopher. He had to admit that before joining with Eerus he’d always wondered about the bond between rider and drak and how those gallant Flyers could control such large beasts. Aelous was beginning to realize he had a very long way to go before he would ever be considered a true rider. His spirit dropped wondering if he would ever make to Arcis Knight like he aspired. Then and only then would he be truly free of the Royal rituals and procedures. Lady Lyna had been enough to convince him of that. She should in her right be Ruling the Fyr Clan, but nope she was an Acris Knight and had forced the crown on her younger brother. Eerus grumbled and nipped Aelous’ cloths giving him a good tug to try and off balance the boy. He remained in place though feeling the tug of Eerus’ soul as he tried to cheer the Lantian up. He smiled and nodded ~Your right Boyo, all the way to Arcis With Us!~ Eerus made a loud sqwak and jumped through the railing ready to battle, showing Aelous needed to ask no questions as he chased after his rowdy drak. It was only a few minutes before aelous realized something. He may have to battle a girl. His eye grew large and he halted. Eerus turned to stare at Aelous confused. ~What if we have to battle one of the girls?!?!?~ He thought towards Eerus. The Drak simply shook his head and sneezed at the though, he would only be to pleased to show his wing mates who was top dog of this flock. Aelous however was afraid of being paired against one of the sadistic sisters, what if he hurt Azi Selene would eat him! Or what if he had to go against Ceres! He didn't want to hurt her suddenly he wasn't feeling to high up anymore. coded by LILITH of ADOXOGRAPHY

| Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you There's so much I can do Don't judge this book by its cover I just look different than you
Ceres tried to ignore the glare she felt slide her way but luckily it seemed that Selene made ehr way over and took Azi's attention away from both Aelous and her. So they were saved oddly enough by a Sadistic Sister. So she went to finally take a normal breath now that she did not have to act rigid and force a fake conversation out. She after catching her breath and righting herself took a peek. She noticed something seemed off about Selene still despite being helped. Perhaps she still should not practice? It would not be fair but then again... She would not be the one voicing that opinion... Suddenly Tyr called everyone towards her. Suddenly she straddled her Mage only to plummet directly into the ring.
Curious she rushed over ushering Christopher to rush over as well. Granted he himself was not big on fighting or things like that he was not about to let himself be left behind nor let Aelous and Ceres be left alone. Ceres could not figure out why Aelous himself seemed so excited but she watched to see what this was all about. Being the naturally curious girl she was. Christopher however as bookwormish personality he may give off made it so he was a tad bit more of a snob. So he just watched as if he would have been watching a horse race or something.
He noticed that it seemed Aelous and Eerus seemed to be enjoying this. Although it seemed like Aelous had once again did something to get Eerus pissed because he suddenly said something to calm him down. Tried to say something to please him with a apologetic grin. If drak's could face palm Christopher would have. Most likely more than just now when around Aelous due to his habit to cause Eerus to be upset and just his general goofy personality. Ceres looked at her companion with curiosity but he did not form any images in her mind to clue her into what he was thinking.
She gave a tiny shrug at him just staring back at her as if just as curious. Giving up on trying to get him to give up what he was thinking she went to listening as Tyr explained and Haedyn was silent. At the end of Tyr's explanation she figured she understood already. She had read books about it but she never tried it before. Best way to learn was to do she had recently learned. Though she did not rush into anything as it was not her turn and she did not want to make a mistake and hurt herself, her drak, or anyone else for that matter. She then noticed Aelous was having another tiff with Eerus as the drak seemed rearing and ready to go and Aelous was not as ready to go.
Christopher was just waiting in a almost zen like manner waiting for when was the right time to do what. He had also listened to the commander Lantian but was waiting for his companion to be the one to let him know when she was ready to do battle with another using him as the main weapon. Seemed like Eerus was not as willing to wait which was fine by him. It was going to be a battle likely where those who were paired up earlier were going to be fighting. Not a jump into the ring first and beat the crap out of each other type thing. Though he did not try to make that point clear as he knew it and to him that was all was important at current.
Ceres however was kind of curious to whom she was going to fight. She took into account the elements and types of drak that were around her. If she went against Noxious she would be at a disadvantage likely and for their personality she probably would not do to well against Azi or Selene even if she was not feeling well. She did not really want to go up against Aelous as she consider him her only friend but training was training right? She wondered what two earth elements would do against each other? Especially if one was a shield and good at defense and the other a mage good at aether? Her mind swam with her classmates and all the things that different pairing of drak would end up doing plus if the Cadet's themselves could actually make the bond to fight with their drak.
Well only time could tell. The commanders had shown them what was expected to be done and only time could tell who would go against who. So she decided all curiosity aside she would simply wait. Assuming that names would be called and such. Unless they wanted people to go up and fight according to their guts like how Eerus' was ready to jump into the arena. She looked over and watched as Eerus and Aelous exchanged and suddenly Aelous mentioned Arcis. She felt a feeling of surprise at that. Was he trying to become a Arcis Knight? She then peeked at Christopher... That was a nice goal. Better than being married off and becoming some princess to a prince to make her family happy.

notes: Coming in from the hatchery if VAL wants to follow me in!

Throughout the skirmish Haedyn held back a bit for fear of finding out that Aerdis was also holding back. If he made the wrong move Doevis more than knew he would loose a battle against a pissed of Aerdis. So throughtout the match it was like a dance like normal between the brothers of wing and claw. It was almost to routine for the large blade. He wanted to spice things up but Haedyn held him back though.
As the skirmish ended the pair made their way to the rim and Tyr continued her short handed training lesson. Haedyn's golden eyes rolled at Tyr's ideas of teaching and wanted to speak up but decided it would be better to fix any problems her 'Lesson' Was causing after they split the group up.
No one seemed to question her though so maybe her explanation was concrete enough. He sat back in the saddle and adjusted his legs in their straps. He was about to dismount but Doevis shuffled his shoulders about unwilling to let his companion down, it was unfitting for a commander to dismount during a speech. So the tall man sat with an ever grumpy face his golden eyes studying the cadets until Aelous and Eerus dove through the ring and entered the field.
Doevis chirped and growled at what he considered fledglings as he picked up his feet to step about the small ones.

Noxaura Nyx Lorelei words; 676 - tags; Everyone - Still rather short meh... Noxious turned her attention towards where everyone seemed to be focusing. Despite the pain her companion seemed to be feeling she was trying to get past it and see what the big deal was. It seemed Selene had more or less raised from the dead and now everyone was grouping up over by the commanders. Then one of them was trying to get everyone's attention. It seems they were being the stragglers but it did not seem to matter all the much. Arabella was still not finished and her bondmate was not really all that well enough to rush over to go over to somewhere she did not really care to go over to. Noxious was not exactly in a big rush either. Now that she was wearing all this weird stuff she felt heavier and she disliked it. The only reason she did not gnaw at it was because she tried to keep some type of dignity due to feeling weird looking in it as well.
So she just seemed to stick near to Leandros and dodge his question despite it was obvious that Selene was fine. Well she was always like that from what she noticed. She tried to make her open up but in a slow manner as not to do more damage and at the same time be protective. It seemed this person as new as he was was someone that her bondmate felt at least comfortable enough to talk to so that was something right? Well at least that is how she felt about the whole thing. She was not going to force things along she knew some draks were a little more forceful but she knew what was going through her companion's head and to avoid her own pain she made sure to defend and push at the right times. Right now she seemed to be doing alright on her own so she just focused on the defense on the outer part while trying to figure out what to do next.
Noxaura took a look at her drak who was all decked out and while she seemed to not exactly be pleased about the whole thing after she took a look at Arabella it seemed out of the two Arabella was winning who was the more unhappy. Then again none of the drak were exactly used to having saddles and guards on were they? The teens may be but everyone else had hatchlings. She had to think to herself for a moment as it seemed rather strange to literally use your drak as the weapon. She was used to using her aether and her reaper weapon. Plus she imaged while she did not notice him very well from the weapon he had Leandros was not exactly the battling type. His drak furthered that thought. He seemed more like the type to worry about others and want to help them. Well it seemed with all the noise they really should make their way towards where the cadets were all in a gaggle.
Leandros seemed to follow her so she gave him a side look with pure curiousity before looking to see what was the big deal and what everyone was watching. Not to mention what they soon would have to end up doing. She saw both commanders basically go into a trance and then their draks fight but it was not like the commanders were mindless it was as if they were possessing their draks in a manner of speaking to keep them doing what they wanted rather then let them fight randomly which likely would be dangerous even if said draks were what she assumed were hatchling friends from the behavior they had before. She was pretty sure she read a book about this somewhere. Her phototographic memory racing through the practically programmed information in her head. As the fight wrapped up she saw Aelous and his drak seem to race into the ring. She wanted to sigh. Didn't they have a whole grouping system? Well whatever it was Aelous.

Leandros did his best to see what the two instructors were doing. But, seeing as he and Noxaura opted for the rear of the crowd, he would have to be content to seeing glimpses of what was to come. Hearing what Tyr was barking at the Cadets made him worry just a little bit. They were demonstrating a wondrous sight to behold. They twirled and danced through the air against one another. Nothing that would indicate a serious fight of course, but their movements were so precise. Maybe they actually were melded in conscientiousness. Two minds being one and fighting as one. That's what the bonds were for he figured, he eyed Arabella as he thought this. Would he be controlling her? No, that would eliminate the purpose of a bond. The thought made him smile. Her body must be a chore to actually maneuver. Then again, he hasn't seen her in a combat situation. Just rolling in the dirt and sleeping.
Arabella sensed his thoughts chirping at him again. Leandros knelt down and patted her head crest. "Don't worry. I'm sure we will do just fine." He said with a wink and a smile. Arabella cooed her approval and seemed excited at the thought of the exercise. The thought that bothered him though, what was he going to do if they fought. He isn't the aggressive type. Despite being in a war he has never fought or killed anyone or anything. He was only there to ensure survival. Arabella didn't seem like the fighting type either. She was just too friendly. If he had to go in that arena, then he wouldn't attack. No matter what. In that moment, his shield felt all the heavier. His reliance on it today is going to be twofold.
As those thoughts crossed his mind, who would he be dueling today? Aelous, Selene, and Azqua seemed like they would be the most difficult to outlast. He didn't know what to make of Ceres. She looked more unlikely to fight than he did. As for Noxaura, he didn't know what to make of her. She didn't look like the violent type, but then she gave the vibe that she wasn't to be trifled with. These thoughts tugged at him as Arabella glanced around with him. What would the other Draks behave like? She didn't want to fight as much as Leandros didn't. But what choice did they have?

LET THEM EAT CAKE!! A sea of pink flowed behind a young woman who rode upon the back of a freshly hatched blade drak who looked like a flash of blue lightning on the darkened sky. The woman looked like she was on a mission so those who were in her way made sure to get out of it cause she certainly did not look like she was going to be dodging anyone and the look on her Drak's face looked almost feral as if he could he would leap up and fly and cause destruction or some other brattish type of mayhem. However they were simply on a Drakish gallop off to the school she was apparently now signed up to. With a carefree look on her face she allowed Rhythm to be the one to guide them towards the school as honestly she had no idea where she was going. She just woke up and while Rhythm just woke up at least he had some sort of animalistic way of finding his way around things.
Lantians, Merah, Kabit, and Humans all tried to get out of the way. With a rather destructive tight turn she nearly crashed into a bunch of objects she could not even see at the pace they were going at but she did not care this was to much fun to stop. Suddenly as they were reaching the Academy she noticed someone had not noticed them and while people were trying to get the person's attention it was to late. Rhythm however jumped and with a few slaps of his wings jumped over the person leaving one fray haired human wide eyed and completely confused in the wind cadet's wake. If this was not a sign that she was like a hurricane to be then nothing would be. Finally reaching the Academy she stayed on the back of her Drak and allowed the gallop to halt into a awkward walk.
"You think this is it? Should we just go in?" As if to answer her a thundering growl erupted from her companion's mouth as he just entered. Making their way through the library, infirmary, and a few other locations she took note it pretty much was deserted. Well that could not be right. She then noticed that Rhythm was taking her to a location that seemed to be outside. She then noticed that this is where all the people were. She noticed a darker Lantian and while she had only seen lighter skinned versions she had not been awake long enough to really notice she should probably be shocked. She notice the woman come over to her and practically pluck her off awkwardly. Suddenly in the blink of an eye her lightning sky Drak was now decked out in armor. She looked at Rhythm who was not pissed off trying to chew the pieces off. With a shrug she just hopped back onto his back.
She gave a giggle as he barely could move with her and the armor. She noticed the group and she apparently had just missed something. She noticed a white haired boy and his Drak, the same type, seemingly ready to enter the arena. She then gave a look to the larger Draks no doubt older versions of the younger ones she saw paired with the other cadets. She took a glance and saw a blonde boy, a gloomy looking girl, two girls that looked like sisters, a blonde girl that looks shy, and of course the two that looked to be in charge. She had no idea who any of them were but it seemed her timing was rather bad so trying to get to know everyone right now did not make sense. Maybe she could make sense of who they were if they were called up to fight. Well noticing she was not going anywhere fast with Rhythm this way she hopped of his back and then led him towards the group sneaking up on them more or less so she could watch and hopefully catch up.
