WORD-867 NOTES: Nothing to say right now.
| Mid Morning Snack ✘
Date: 07.15.2077 Time: Dusk.
As the day had passed in its normal ways, first meandering long before night was over, then showering in the steam baths. Then taking Snapyre out into the forest to hunt. Then back to the Academy to train along side Selene and then finally she’d made to find more food. So as darkness rose over the Academy and the twin moons lifted Azi would suddenly stand and make her way out of the Common’s Room of the SoulStrike Team. She walked alone and in silence, Snapyre had gone to find dinner in the forest by the light of the moons.
Azi had checked in on her Companion’s mind from time to time while she walked and soon lost herself in her normal meanderings. Her feet taking her to the familiar paths she seemed to walk day and night, always watching for changes or things that shouldn’t be. Why she searched she wasn’t sure, maybe it was a habit left over from her days in the wilds of Earth. This was not something she contemplated, it was an action she did, nothing more. But as she watched from behind her dragon’s eyes, the corridors around her ebbed and swayed from focus.
When Snapyre had struck and killed a small creature Azi’s focus would return to herself as she halted her silent footsteps. She appeared to be in a Library of sorts, and she was not alone is seemed. For standing between a grouping of tables in the center of the gigantic room Azi made a quick sweep of her surroundings and found tiny cat like creatures infested this room. They were brightly colored and could fit in the palm of your hand with tails twice as long as their bodies and wings that hummed like a humming birds. They zipped to and from the books, hiding peeking and watching with wide almond shaped eyes. They made peeping sounds as they jumped about there were at least twenty of them in Azqua’s immediate vicintity.
She felt no fear from the tiny cats though, no threat exuded their tiny frames. But still she felt she understood why these tiny beings were here. Guardians of this written archive of knowledge. Azqua gave them no heed as she tucked her hands into her wide pockets and climbed the steps to the first level of shelves. She didn’t have to avoid the tiny creatures as they flittered away from her path. Her red violet eyes sweeped the spines of the different books though none of them touched her mind as she made her way.
Instead she was considering books with no covers, and the reference that humans used for reference of the statement. She was a book with no cover, though she had a shell so thick you could not read her. Everyone thought Azqua and Selene the best of Friends but Azi did not understand the term or the idea behind friendship. She however believed it to be more of Companionable truce. Azi would never truly trust anyone, it was a henderance from her time on Earth and so she was here in body and in power for the Lantians but past that she was nothing more to any of the people that surrounded her. The idea didn’t exactly haunt the young human, but it did pick at her mind from time to time.
Selene and she were like sisters she supposed, she’d never had siblings to relate the idea behind it. Her eyes landed on Mythology of Aerdis and she pulled the book from its place spilling a tiny cat critter onto it’s empty place. It yawned and peeped at Azi before jumping up and floating to her shoulder. She didn’t try to bat the creature away like she would have normally done. Instead she was happy the small and extremely soft thing was cuddling her neck. It gave off a warmth that was cozy and made her miss something very dear and very deep from her mind.
Tears welled up in Azi’s eyes and a confused hand lifted to touch the cheek that had been dampened. Why was she crying? She was unsure but with a sudden rush of … what Panic? She turned and ran down the asile of books to a corner in the back and tucking herself their cried in honest. Her shoulders racking from the silent but heavy sobs the tiny cat creature that was pale periwinkle blue meeped again in her ear and tried to lick away her tears.
A suddenly rush of anger caused Azi to smack the small creature away. It squeaked in pain and fell in a crumple onto the ground. Azi gasped and looking down at it’s small body scooted towards it and scooping it up honest pain showed in her eyes. “Are you alright?” She asked holding it close to her face the tears doubling now for true fear touched her heart that she had harmed this tiny frail being.
A soft meep called up and Azi’s face broke into a beautiful smile, one that had been lost in her past along with the timid child that was peeking through the surface of Azqua’s dark shell.

Noxaura Nyx Lorelei words; 961 - tags; xxx - notes; xxx For all her curiosity Noxaura had not actually visited the Academy's library. Then against she had some books from the infirmary and it was nice to learn other things besides the things she already had memorized. The horrible thing about having a photographic memory was the fact once she read a book unless she really liked it there was no point to reading it again. Sure when it came to remembering layouts or stuff that normally took years to remember it came in handy but it did have downsides. So small stories she could remember word for word and even the different variations. It made it difficult to read books without having some sort of boring. So technically that is why she was so curious all the time. Ever seeking more things her mind already did not have stored. Then again she was cat like by nature due to her genetic mutation.
She had her fair share of being an outcast because of her nature in general but adding the 'curiosity kill the cat' was just the cherry on top. She found herself wandering the halls for something to do her companion by her side. Very much cat like if not more cat like then most mages. She was trying to avoid the girl that smelt like wolf. There was something about her that brought about headaches. It was strange but she only got those headaches when it came to memories. She normally would go up to the girl and ask her what was going on between them, the reason for her glaring at her so much, but she was always with that tinier girl. Plus something told her she was dangerous and a simply going up to her would end up with more then an answer... So she simply avoided her so she could end up keeping in one piece and not get headaches.
While she could smell old traces of the wolf girl in this area it was not the wolf girl that was in the area she was heading in due to try and cure her boredom... Well curiosity... It was the tinier girl. She was surprised or rather confused to why they were not together but perhaps even they did not spend every moment together. Well even though the girl herself had her moments of glaring and was liable to cause Noxaura harm she decided she still wanted to go to the library. It was big enough to not cause trouble and if this girl also decided to hate her it was par for the course really. Making her way into the large library it did not take her long to spot the girl. She kept her distance. Her light steps and silent manner made it so she was not seen. She grabbed herself a book that looked interesting and found herself a place to sit.
However it was not the book that kept her attention but the actions of the girl. She swung from one extreme to another. So silently she watched as the cat like creature went from being left alone to beaten to the floor. Tears to anger to tears and remorse over her actions. There was something deep in this girl that went deeper than simple mood issues or simple trauma. Like a cat could tell when someone had cancer she could tell she had a cancer... Somewhere in her mind and heart there was a cancer... She could not tell just what it was. It was obviously not cancer but it was not normal either. Something was wrong and she had a feeling it would take more then what picture image everyone had of her and the wolf girl to be the actual truth. Both had issues so perhaps that is what brought them to some sort of understanding...
See this is why she people watched it allowed her to understand and see what others did, said, and truly were behind the image they put up. Granted it often got her in trouble and she was surprised it had not gotten her injured yet. Most people did not like to be peeped on but if you let it all hang out and did not notice her it really was not her fault. She looked at Noxious who looked back before resting next to her companion. Noxaura then proceeded to look down at her book. "Cat's are more forgiving then most other animals. Even to the point of being beaten to death we often find ourselves, aloof, but almost like masochists... Hoping that master will show us love next time." Already done reading both pages in front of her she nonchalantly changed the page not bothering to look up or ask the girl why she was crying or having such extreme moods.
At the small meep from the creature Noxious gave a small purr despite her rest. Her eyes still closed. It seemed the creature was still alive. Noxaura did not say anything. The creature seemed to be proving her point. Despite being harmed the creature held no hard feelings even if it was not a cat from earth. She herself was not a full blown cat but knew somewhat the mind of one and unfortunately had that masochistic like love me issue. Despite the nicknames, and the hate on earth, she still did all she could to please and remained aloof to hide the hurt. She figured her presence now that it was known would likely not be accepted happily but she was fine with that. She turned the page as she reached the end of the last word. Taking in all the book offered like a sponge. She had a rather sullen look about her as she read the book.

Shield of Atlantis Leandros Navaar / Dorm Commons
The past couple of days had Leandros laying in his now partially repaired bed with Arabella snoozing in the corner of his dorm. It would seem he had trouble using Aether. He noticed the others had a knack for conjuring a flame or blasting a gust of wind at will, but with him it was difficult. Despite the help from the seniors of the group and the other cadets he was simply struggling to move the earth at will. He managed a couple little feats, but he couldn't quite get it as easily. He wished he heard of bonds struggling with this part of the training, but as of yet he hasn't heard of anyone having this much trouble. Maybe it was him being human. This affected Arabella as well, he could tell she worried for Leandros. She even tried helping him in her own unique way. The thought made him smile. He glanced over to where she was laying and saw her snoozing away. Since she was content to sleep away the day, he decided to do a bit of research.
Leandros threw on a simple shirt and pants, nothing that would stand out so much but made him decent enough to walk around the dorm's various rooms. As he exited the room, he pat Arabella's head crest and silently left. Leandros marveled at the architecture of the dorms. He really never had the chance to appreciate it. His meandering did have a destination however, the library. He remembered one of the cadets mentioning it in passing and Leandros figured some answers would be there. He thought that this strange place should have some knowledge of his deficiency in Aether.
The room was easy enough to find as his vision traced the bookshelves upon bookshelves of random literature. He had hoped at least one of them made mention of Aether. Walking in, he saw a couple familiar faces. One was Azqua, who he barely knew anything about, and Noxaura who he at least was acquainted with. Leandros almost didn't notice the small cat like creatures bounding between books and creating mischief for themselves. One of them crawled up on his broad shoulder and he gave it a sideways glance. In response, he got a tilted curious head. Taking two fingers and a thumb, he stroked the top of its head which it seemed to purr in delight.
Leandros could have swore he saw Azqua smile, and as rare as it was it looked good on her. 'She needs to smile more.' He thought to himself as he went about his business. Noxaura was doing what she usually did. Stayed somewhere easy to miss and silently reading with her large green eyes that seemed to always to be peering from the darkness. Leandros set to Searching for a book that might help him with the Aether.
And he got his results. There were almost too many books on Aether to count. Books on the origins of Aether, books on the types of Aether, and at least twelve volumes on what not to do with Aether. He figured he should just start at the beginning and grabbed the first volume of the Earth Aether. The tome as a little hefty and who knows how old, but the binding was still kept in perfect condition. 'Maybe that is the purpose of these creatures?' He wondered to himself as he gave the small winged beast another sideways glance. A small purr and another curious tilt in the other direction were his only answers. With a smirk, he patted it again and went down to where the two girls were.
Leandros always figured they were loner types, but he couldn't figure out if they would simply deject him if he sat at either one of their tables. They both seemed content to be reading on their own and he didn't want to disturb either one with his presence, so he pulled out one of the chairs at a table away from either girls. Once he was seated, he opened his book and began reading the book.

WORD-486 NOTES: Nothing to say right now.
| Mid Morning Snack ✘
Date: 07.15.2077 Time: Dusk.
Azqua blinked at the creatures tiny meep and suddenly looking up realized the other dark older female had appeared. The younger Azi eyed her with those demon eyes a hard shield flowing into her visage as she moved back to lean against her tiny nook. She listened as Noxaura spoke about the feline race as if she were one herself nearly. Azqua didn’t understand her meaning honestly. Her eyes falling back onto the tiny creature in her hand as Leandros strolled in and began his search.
Azqua felt the sudden anxiety of having a silent sanctuary bombarded by outsiders and couldn’t help that her heart rate picked up. Red purple eyes glanced about for exits and cataloguing three returned finally to Noxaura’s statement. “There should never be masters” It was a simple remark but for both Noxaura and Leandros it would be their first time hearing their girls whispering raspy voice, chills may run from the girls voice, it was a strange one for a sixteen year old. So very much like her eyes that held years beyond her age.
“All masters should be cut down” She was petting the blue cat in her palm pondering it’s origins and what they were called, they were actually Sphinx’s keepers of knowledge and lovers of stories. They small creatures had a knack for giving one the most splendid dreams, or nightmares depending on if it liked you or not. But they were normally solitary. Lantian libraries often hold swarms of them due to the vast range of Knowledge the Lantians have collected.
As the group sat in what seemed like awkward silence azi returned to them an glancing at the both of them asked “Why aren’t you two avoiding me like normal?” She was rather blunt and matter of fact about the question. But still their was a curiousness lingering in those demon eyes. She being the one to always look for an agenda though normally knew to expect rejection at every turn. So being rejected never phased her. If one was to truly describe Azi they would think her a brain washed killing machine, yet still here these two were.
Snapyre was making her way back from the forest and this made Azi calm a little bit. The drak had felt the overwhelming sensations of being surrounded and outnumbered. Snapyre knew Azqua was in no real danger and goaded her for becoming defensive quicker than even she would. Azqua knew the Drak would arrive soon enough and tried to focus on those around her instead.
Darker thoughts skittered in the background of her mind though. Thoughts that had been so terribly loud when she’d first awoken here on Atlantis, now whispered for her to do things that would turn these two into little more than mince meat. But she pushed them down back and far away trying to bury them in her very own chilly aether pool.

Noxaura Nyx Lorelei words; 938 - tags; xxx - notes; xxx For all Noxaura had to deal with demonic eyes and odd stares were not something she really felt affected by. She raised her gaze to take notice of someone else coming into the room. She made note that it was the new Cadet Leandros and went back to her reading. Speaking in riddles was probably one of Noxaura's curses. That or speaking bluntly there was no grey area for Noxaura. It was to difficult for her to be normal in a social situation. It was up to others to be accepting to her ways of conversation and to be honest most were not. Both before End Days and after. Some of Cadets still continued to tease her. She just ignored them with her aloof behavior. While she did not give off the same vibe as the 'sadistic sisters' she obviously gave some sort of 'leave me alone' vibe seeing others did just that.
Noxaura kept calm despite the obvious shift in the air. She continued to read until she was spoken to. Saying there should never be masters. It was a simple remark true enough but to Noxaura it was not something she understood. However she kept silent. She almost expected something like the voice that came from the girl to come out of her mouth due to the lack of talking. It often effected once's voice. The only reason Noxaura did not have a raspy voice was because she was vocal in other ways. It seemed this girl was completely mute unless it fancied her to talk. Perhaps it was the warmth of her own soul that kept her from being chilled but she continued to read. Turning the page. Curiosity for the book still there as she was trying to figure out just what this girl's connection to the wolf girl was.
Suddenly the girl continued to say all masters should be cut down as she petted the blue cat. She continued to read for a moment before letting the book tilt slightly. Noxaura gave a slightly lazy look up from her book finally to look at the girl. "Without a master I do not have a purpose. I was born to have a master... Therefore If my master was to be cut down then I suppose I would have no reason to live..." It was a rather depressing statement but it was true. Since her 'gift' was found she was groomed to be the perfect being in order to help the world as if she was going to be some sort of goddess of life. Yet it was cut short when... Well when whatever happened to bring her here. She only knew so much about her past. She then looked down at her book again.
Perhaps she had someone who was her master or tried to be her master and she did not like it. Noxaura had no choice in the matter and by growing up with a 'master' influence she felt lost without having someone telling her what to do. So without Tyr or Haedyn or someone giving her an order she really was lost. In a way it made her more likely to sacrifice herself as well though. Not that she exactly gave that much though nor did she talk about it. But what was a a feral cat without a owner? Useless... If it could not even protect it's owner. She however figured that was her own issue and did not go any deeper than she had already gone. This made it so things went into an awkward silence. Something Noxaura was unfortunately all to familiar with.
Suddenly both were asked why they were not avoiding her like normal. It was asked in a rather blunt way but it still held a curiousness that Noxaura held. Noxaura looked up from her book again to say just as bluntly, "I never avoided you. There just was never a moment to spend with you." Selene and Azi were normally always together. When two people were together unless it was a threesome group for training it was normally unspoken at least among the Cadets to leave said group alone. So like if Aelous and Ceres were seen together they were left alone unless invited over or with Haedyn and Tyr or any of the others really. No one ever invited her over so of course she never had a moment to spend with anyone. It was not avoiding if you were not there to avoid in the first place. She then looked down at her book again. Awkward girl that she was.
This was more talking than she did normally and she was not exactly sure how comfortable she felt about it. Noxious who was napping next to her companion took a peek at Noxaura who despite the look of blankness on her face obviously was fighting demons of her own. Noxaura in fact was the one who was avoided honestly. She had just come to the library for her own reasons and Azi happened to be here for once without the wolf girl so it made it so it was possible to stay without having to leave quickly. So here she was sticking around for once. So less was it avoiding Azi then it was her own shy nature betraying her. A bundle of issues from now and back on Earth. She did not expect Azi to understand so she just continued to read. Faster than most. Now almost done with the large tome like book despite being here for only a little while. She would likely be grabbing another one soon.

Shield of Atlantis Leandros Navaar / Dorm Commons
Leandros was buried in his book, scanning the pages for anything that could pertain to his situation. He found various entries on Earth Aether styles, the first Earth Aether, Earth Draks, but nothing on having trouble using it. Eventually, his eyes began to strain as the words started to blend together and the talk in cryptic words started to wear on his mind. Maybe he was just deficient at using it. Maybe it had something to do with his being human. But, that couldn't be an excuse as the humans around him could use their Aether just fine. He didn't know why this mattered to him. Maybe he wanted to show everyone on his team that they can trust him to shield them. Maybe it was all in his mind. He slammed the book closed with a heavy sigh and rubbed his eyes in frustration. That's when he heard a frail voice echo in the library.
He looked up at the strange girl. Well, one of the strange girls and wondered when the last time she spoke was. All masters cut down? That was an odd statement. Of course, that's what you define as master. Master could be anything from a loving parent to a sadistic dictator. It all depended on that and he wondered if that might be connected to the girl. He wasn't going to say anything on the matter, but he toyed with the thought in his mind.
He sat in silence listening to the small conversation taking place in front of him. Leandros couldn't just sit idly by anymore, he had to say something, anything. "Why would I avoid someone I just may be going to war with? I need to know you. Just like I will need to know everyone in our little group in order to trust you, just like you will need to trust me." He said, more to both of them rather than just Azqua. He always got the sense that Noxaura simply didn't care about anyone or anything and was just along for the ride. After all, it wasn't like you were given much of a choice once you made the bond. Which led him to his next statement. "And as far as killing all masters, total freedom sounds nice on paper, but its anarchy. Last I saw it, I was on Earth."
"Also," He began turning to Noxaura, "You always have a purpose. Master or no, you are alive and that gives you purpose. Don't think your life has nothing if you have no one to follow. You may not know it, but there is always someone out there who will miss you when you are gone." It dawned on Leandros, this might be the most he has said to anyone in his time spent here. His feelings on these subjects were mostly affected by the war on Earth. He lived through so much turmoil and still somehow came out alive. Instead of fighting whatever landed him here, he decided to take it and run with it. He was alive where so many had died before him. It would be and insult to their memory if he just gave up and died.
Memories soon flooded his mind as he remembered the war and the people he ran with. Just a bunch of different people from different backgrounds tagged together under the banner of survival. People who died for him and people he would die for. Maybe the war had more effect on him than he realized. With a frustrated sigh, he picked the book up and found his way back to where it was and placed it back. He scanned for another book, but mostly stood there in thought, trying to calm himself down.

WORD-645 NOTES: Nothing to say right now.
| Mid Morning Snack ✘
Date: 07.15.2077 Time: Dusk.
Aqua would only silently stare at Noxaura as she explained her situation of master and in Azi’s mind Slave. She was disgusted by the thought and shook her head before the small Sphinx cheeped at her again. Looking down at the small critter she stopped petting it’s frail form to let it go and wiped the last of her tears from her face as Noxi told her she’d never meant to avoid her.
Leandros suddenly burst in apparently unable to listen to their dearie-ness any longer. He spoke not avoiding her, of trust and understanding. He was also expecting trust from her. She turned demonic unblinking eyes on Leandros as he explained about war and how Earth had been freedom, pure raw anarchy. Maybe that was Azi’s idea of freedom though. She had spent way to long off the map though to realize just what Trust was. He needed to Know here? She eyed him over as he searched for another book. She looked down and away to the floor wondering what Selene would have done at this moment?
The image of blood and snapping teeth ran through her mind, okay not a good outlet for ideas Azi, she thought and looked at Noxaura. In truth the two girls were the exact opposite of a coin, like two faced coined trying to see each others side was impossible even though their natures were both very similar. She felt she understood why Noxaura kept her distance. She remember vicious glares cast from Selene onto this girl and the rest of that puzzle clicked into place. She glanced back to Leandros finally her head falling to the side as he seemed stumped about something. She decided it was true, what he’d said, that she should know them. So Azi did something completely out of character.
She stood and made her way to Leandros side still keeping vast space between them and looked around the shelves before him before glancing back at his concentrating face. “What is Trust… and what are you looking for? “ She asked not that she knew the library well or anything like that but the way she’d asked what Trust was it was obvious the word had never been defined to her. She was only sixteen and lacking almost all formal school she’d learned to read and write, but still her own personal dictionary was much more limited. Good and bad meant nothing to her, trust and responsibility also felt like distant memories.
In truth the person one should be able to trust and rely upon, the parent, had broken the concept of trust and responsibility in her at a very young age. Cast into the world much younger than the other cadets she’d been orphaned just at the fall of the Civilized world had ruptured through Russia. She’d spent the harsh winter alone in her house, in the dark time had stretched endlessly before the eleven year old. But the last of her humanity had been broken when she’d been chased from her own home by a murder she’d committed. After that she’d known only fighting and surviving, hardly coming into contact with other humans. The time of the Neda felt no different from her life before.
She pulled a book from the shelf and let her fingers caress it’s leathery bindings. Smooth under her skin she liked the feeling so she opened the book to look at it’s pages after page of writing in scrawled strange letters unknown to any of the Humans. She clipped the book shut and looked back at Leandros and said as if in after thought “I’m Azqua” Of course this would seem odd, they knew her name for Christ sake, but Azi had never said her name to them before so in a way it was an introduction, and further proof of this girls social awkwardness.

Noxaura Nyx Lorelei words; 919 - tags; xxx - notes; Super short was gunna skip Noxaura looked to see that the book in her hand was now finished. It meant that she was going to have to go and find something else. Hopefully this library had many books she had never seen before. If she was going to be staying here and enjoying what she liked to do despite the photographic memory she would like to at least have some variety. Noticing Noxious get up and stretch she supposed she was going to follow her drak and hope she could pick her out something out. She supposed something clicked in Azi as she looked at her. She looked over without fear and then resumed looking. Perhaps she understood just why she 'avoided' her and it was less her and more her 'friend' that was the reason she did not spend much time with either girl. Then again she did not exactly scream social.
Losing herself in the row of books she returned the book she had with the help of the little furry cat creatures. Oddly enough she felt a kinship with them. No words needed to be exchanged. She did not need their help but she enjoyed their company more than one probably should. Disappearing behind a bookcase for probably far to long she suddenly came around the corner carrying ten heavy tome like books. Enough to tower over her frame and probably confuse most normal people as to how someone so small could carry them. Then if that was not odd enough also see that her drak also was carrying the extras. Plopping them gently like a cat hopping from one table to another all the books made their home on the table and in the right order she wanted to read them and once again Noxaura was free to read and Noxious to nap.
She overhead the words from Leandros. She gave a small sigh she did not expect either of them to exactly understand her thinking as even herself did not understand it but she went with it. Staying silent figuring more words was a waste. When the girl asked what trust was she herself wondered what true trust was but figured if Leandros knew he would tell Azqua and she would be able to overhear it. So she just kept to herself like normal. She also heard Azqua ask what he was looking for. Well at least she was attempting to help despite the obvious demons that plagued the girl. Better than her in her own social awkwardness. In fact this place seemed to attract all types of humans with issues. Most of them had left in fact probably due to something the Lantians knew and felt they did not need to know. Well that was fine she was not that curious....
She imaged everyone here had some type of a dark past they either kept buried or at least kept from everyone else... She however could not keep it buried or try to be all mysterious in the sense of wanting to be mysterious she just was even to herself. When she tried to remember all she got was headaches. She had been told it was due to her stasis shock and therefore all her memories save for blurry ones were wiped. Go figure... At least the important ones were still there but still she would like to remember even if it brought her pain because at this point not knowing brought her pain. She was screwed either way. She noticed both Cadets had seemed to be busy with themselves so she buried herself in her books before she caused herself a headache by accident just by getting on the subject.
She paid no heed to what they were doing as she fell into the world of the book in front of her. Seemingly speed reading through it but it was like all she needed to do was stare at the page for a second or two before needing to go to the next. It was a blessing and a curse. However it was helpful as it seemed like she knew what she wanted to do once she was able to get over her social awkwardness. Despite her destructive element she herself was actual not destructive at all. From flame came growth. From the flame came rebirth... She wanted to help new Cadets and she wanted to be like the man who saved her... She wanted to be like the ones who had the healing abilities. She may only be able to do it at a human level but it was something she aspired to do and with the right approach she hoped to eventually get Lantian approval.
At hearing Azqua give her name she did not know if she should give her name. So she felt a nudge from her half awake drak. She gave a soft "Noxaura..." She showing her own crazy awkwardness. Perhaps they were not exactly much different in their awkwardness. Then again they all did have their own issues and some of them were similar. Did not mean they should all hold hands and sing celebratory songs. It did help in an odd way to break the ice in a sense but it did not matter. There was something cancerous about this girl that meant she would likely need more than social awkwardness to bond over. She seemed to e doing fine at the moment so Noxaura went back to her books and went into a trance again. Keeping ghostly quiet again.

Shield of Atlantis Leandros Navaar / Dorm Commons
He stood there scanning books and taking guesses as to which ones might help him. Leandros had wondered if this whole search was going to turn up fruitless. By that point he had only looked into one book and he was already frustrated with the whole situation. There were still so many on Earth alone and countless others in this library. How long could it take him to search all of these? A week, a year maybe? Still, he couldn't simply sit idly by to wait and wonder. He would do whatever he could to fix this. As he took one of the books to look over the title and thumb the pages, he noticed the cat like creatures all were scampering along the tops of books and some were hiding behind the books thanks to his little outburst. Not much of an outburst, but about as good as he could manage while remaining civil.
While he scanned the pages he almost didn't notice the small frail Azqua standing next to him coming from seemingly nowhere. There was a lot of stigma surrounding this strange girl. People called her 'demon girl' among other more unsavory nicknames. Weird was his favorite. Simply because they were all weird in some way or another. They were all here after all, weren't they? When this close to her he could see the girl she is and not what people call her. From far away and secluded she was almost foreboding. Like she didn't want anyone near her. But yet, here she was standing before Leandros asking him a question he has never had to answer.
What was trust? It was right up there with 'What is love?' and 'Why are we here?' It felt like a question best answered by the one asking it. Trust can mean many different things according to different people. But this girl genuinely didn't know what it was. Maybe he could help her out a bit, if anything to give her someone to actually talk with who doesn't treat her as a social pariah. Placing the book back as she introduced herself, he nodded "I am Leandros, and...sorry for earlier." He said with renewed composure. He glanced between the book he placed back and her.
"And trust is...well.." He started considering his words. He should word this carefully. He didn't know what might offend or make him sound like he had ill intent. He scratched the back of his head and thought of what trust meant to him. Thoughts of his group back on Earth popped into his mind and smiled at the bittersweet memory. "Trust is giving someone unconditional belief that they will be there for you even though they have no obligation to you." He said instantly regretting it. He sounded like a dictionary. But then, he had an idea. It was childish but it exemplifies trust better than anything he can show her at the moment. "Here, let me show you. Just turn with your back to me. Then, when you are turned completely around. Just fall backwards towards me." He said ready to catch her. Maybe this will show her what he meant. And if it didn't show her what he meant, he could maybe explain a bit better. Leandros was no good at explaining these sort of things. He was much more comfortable standing behind a shield and weathering an assault.

Bright violet eyes studied the taller young man as he turned to her and introduced himself and apologized to her. Yet another term she did not fully understand, but at the same time decided one thing at a time. Watching him she realized Leandros was struggling with how to phrase his ideas, he started then stopped and then seemed to focus inwardly for a moment. A dictionary worthy definition bolted out to smack about Azi’s brain for a moment Confusion clear on hr face while the same notion dawned to him. Then he decided to rephrase and show her what trust was.
He wanted her to turn her back to him, not happening, rigid tiny frame took a step back away from him as his hands lifted in the ‘Catch’ position. Her pupils turned to bare slits in her eyes. She gave a jagged and slight shake of her head before suddenly asking one again “whatever your looking for ‘m sure she could help you find it? “ She pointed at Noxaura still in a rigid manner but her eyes never left Leandros.
Noxaura had not gone unnoticed, infact around the time Azis finger lifted to point at Noxaura she was just getting comfortable behind a newly formed stack of books. Little did she know the mistevious eyes that watched from the top of a book shelf, a tiny wiggle of hips and a splay of bat like wings and then... BOOM!
Snapyre would land in the center of the table to scatter many of Noxaura’s books away. The blade’s wings flared upward as her head lowered and growled before making a strange “CLA Clak” Sound and then clacked her teeth shut. Snapyre felt Azqua’s tension, and had made her way into the library silently while the three had went about their business. But having arrived just moment ago the young drak had seen no need to protect her young, frail companion.
So Instead Snapyre had decided to drop in and give everyone else a fright and show them how azi was feeling though the girl did in fact needed this forced interaction if she ever expected to get along well enough to call these people allies. She was still wary of Lantians but these two were humans, and she felt that she should at least give them a chance before trying anything to drastic like slitting their throats in the night.
