Turn Down for Whom ?!
Words: 596 :: WITH: CERES // LEANDROS // NOXAURAAelous had come back to Cere’s side and was heading on down the alley when Leandros said he’d be coming. Then he went on a patriotic stent about protecting Atlantis even though it wasn’t his home. Aelous couldn’t help but to sigh at this statement. Everyone was trying to hard to make a night of fun into something horribly serious. He glanced down to notice Noxaura huddled down while Ceres was trying to help her out. Why! Aelous wanted to scream but he didn’t have long to fret, because as he looked up he realized something… Eerus was gone. Aelous glanced about worried then shutting his eye sank within to locate his companion through his bond. Aelous’ body went rigid as he fell seeking searching, it onlyi took a moment. Eerus was on the street joined to the alley they were on. He was sniffing after some fried meat stand. “ACK!” Aelous yelped and waving for them to come on sprinted around the corner finally. Free of the alley they would pour out into a street filled with Lantians, and humans. And some of the cadets would be surprised to find more than just them were within Atlantis, especially if this was their first time out of the Lantian AWF program. The odd Merah’s and human like Alaceres were walking about the streets along with a stray Kabit here and there. This would either scare the cadet’s or make the others gaze in wonde, but it was clear that Whatever in the hell Aelous had heard of the Earth Black market was false because around them was a literal market of just every day commona people, those who functioned in the back ground to help the society continue. Bakers, jewelers a literal flee market with everything you could ever want was before the group, sure there were guns and ammunitions and the sorts, but the vastness of the market was surely surprising. Aelous would not get the chance to see their expressions because instead his time would be spent going “WHOOOOAAAA!!!!!" And scampering towards his larger Drak. The stall vendor was yelling something in Lantian and Aelous was chattering back rather quickly in response trying to excuse his drak. The owner seemed more mad at Aelous than the drak though. The man was a Merah so he was flurry of motion as he waved what appeared to be a spatula at Aelous and hollered trying to shoo the boy more than the Drak. Eerus let this continue only for a moment though after the spatula slapped Aelous on his cheek Eerus turned deadly serious. Snarls rolled up his throat as his still small bladed scales lifted and his head lowered to fully display his horned. Snorting a great gout of air as his front legs spread apart. Aelous Dove down onto the Drak’s head and face clasping his jaw shut. “I’M SO SORRY SIR” he screamed over his shoulder as he started to push with all his might and push his drak back. Hell Eerus was nearly large enough for Aelous to right so this was a rather funny thing to watch. The Scrawny Lantian boy was never going to get his drak to move. That much was obvious and rather comical to passer bys. coded by LILITH of ADOXOGRAPHY

| Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you There's so much I can do Don't judge this book by its cover I just look different than you Ceres was getting a little nervous as things seemed to get a little rough between the group. Aelous seemed to sigh at this and she supposed it was because the sense of fun and rule breaking just took a horrible turn and to something dread. Christopher looked at Aelous and watched as Eerus seemed to take off taking advantage of the fact Aelous was busy with the human's and their moods. Ceres did not notice but she did look to Christopher. She went to pet him and with that he let his interest in following the Blade drop and stuck by Ceres remembering he was there to keep her from Aelous even if he was as it seemed ready to scream.
Suddenly Christopher gave a drak like smug look as he seemed to notice what he already noticed. Eerus was gone. He glanced around worried. Well they were bonded he would find the wayward Blade soon enough. It just amused the Mage to no end. Suddenly the boy gave a yelp and suddenly it seemed all was to be forgotten as he went to wave them all to sprint around the corner finally. Out of the dank looking alley. Pouring into the busy street Ceres was surprised to see things she probably should not be surprised to see considering... She tried to hide it but the girl wore her heart on her sleeve. She tried to follow after Aelous who caused Christopher to in turn follow after her.
Ceres took noticed as she ran as she looked both left and right and saw that this so called black market seemed pretty lively. It was not as scary as she assumed it was. She wanted to peek at the humans to see what Leandros had been so passionate about but she had to keep an eye out on in front of her to avoid tripping or bumping into anyone. She continued however to try and keep a slow enough pace to try to 'smell the roses' so to speak. She had never seen so many things with so many differences all in one place. It was kind of cool but she was to busy chasing Aelous to really stop and appreciate it fully. Finally she noticed a stall vendor was yelling something in Lantian at Aelous as she caught up.
Oddly enough she could only stand there and watch as Aelous and the stall vender seemed to more or less argue back and forth. Despite it being Eerus' fault it seemed that it would be Aelous who would take the hit for whatever ever he had caused. Ceres could only watch with sympathy and yet a amused grin seemed to pop on Christopher's little smug Mage face. For some reason he seemed to enjoy whenever Aelous had to deal with issues now. If it kept his playboy hands away from his companion all the better. Suddenly he seemed to be in a rush to leave. So he tried to push Eerus but it was a comedy. Ceres could only give a sheepish smile as she watched as people who walked past laughed at the scene.
Christopher gave his own laugh and Ceres could only give a hopeless sigh. But it seemed Aelous was that desperate to get away from Merah and his spatula that it did not matter that he was small enough to ride Eerus so of course Aelous would not be big enough to push Eerus in the right direction unless Eerus humored him. Ceres wanted to help but felt a tug on the bottom of her outfit as Christopher gave a huff. Ceres gave another sheepish smile. She was naive but she had picked up on how Christopher had been acting around Aelous and guess at the current moment she was stuck only watching the poor Lantian make a scene.

Shield of Atlantis Leandros Navaar / Dorm Commons
For the moment, it seemed Aelous actually managed to make some sense to Leandros. While he stayed with Noxaura to help her, he weighed his words. They were true. Leandros had to know what he was defending in order to truly call himself a defender of Atlantis. He was never given the choice to defend this place, but then again they did save his life. For that, he owes them his own. For Leandros, that sort of decision was simple. He wasn't an eye for an eye type of person but he did carry out favors put upon him by others. Besides, these were their homes and lively hoods. For many, losing that was just as bad as losing their lives. Still, that didn't change his opinion on where his home was. As broken and destitute as it is, Earth is his home.
When Noxaura spoke, he placed a steady but gentle hand on her shoulder to calm her. When she looked at him with that eye, he saw the pain that she was in. What could have caused this? It seemed to happen at random, when Aelous and he were having their little debate. Could it be caused by conflict? No, she wouldn't be going to war in that case. Maybe at the mention of the Black Market? Regardless, the why wasn't as important as figuring out how to stop the pain. "Hey, Take it easy. We'll move when you feel ready enough to. Maybe we should just go back." Not that she was making a real effort to stand, he just wanted her to know he can wait as long as needed. Still, If she was in this much pain because of a place like this as she said. Wouldn't it make more sense to get her away from it? Aelous and Ceres seemed content to stick by each other so he saw no reason to just leave her here.
Arabella wandered over to Leandros and sensed him trying to help this girl. She couldn't do much, after all she was no healer. All she could do was lay beside Noxaura and Leandros to support them. She understood why he looked after people the way he does. Even if he owes them nothing or if they have wronged him in the past. It is simply in his nature and that is why she called out to him. Even this girl, whom he only just met he is willing to sit all night until she can walk again. Though the thought crossed Arabella's mind that he could simply carry her back but only as a last resort. He wanted her to feel better.
Noxaura seemed to calm down and the most severe of the pain subsided a bit. As she stood Leandros could see she was still in pain but not to the extent of before. After checking to make sure she could still walk, he walked after Aelous and Ceres. They were their guides after all and if he couldn't find them, getting back to the dorms would be quite troublesome. Before he took more than a couple steps, he felt a tug at the back of his shirt. Glancing backwards, he noted Noxaura keeping a grip on him. He wasn't sure what it meant, but he didn't care. If this in any way helped her then so be it. He nodded at her and walked out into their joined alley.
All around them he saw races of every kind. Some were his own, most Lantians, but there were also Merah, Kabit, and even the rare Alaceres. Leandros had seen these races before during his time before becoming bonded, but nothing on this scale. He only ever met one Merah and he was a hard ass that made Leandros felt dumber than a sack of bricks. He only ever saw Alaceres from afar, never really getting this close and the Kabit he was familiar with. After all, one of them forced the bonding and marking his cheek forever. He saw bartering, trading, and jovial conversation taking place around him. More as a reassurance, he said "This is no Black Market." So, Aelous had no idea what he was talking about after all. Now Leandros felt like a fool for getting so worked up. He glanced back to make sure Noxaura was okay. The girl had a strange reaction before and he didn't want to take the chance of people crowding her and causing the same thing again. "Are you okay?"

Noxaura Nyx Lorelei words; 703 - tags; Aelous, Ceres, Leandros - notes; Uh oh... Noxious was doing all she could to help her bondmate which was keep an eye out on those that could pose a threat. She kept in mind of course those Noxaura considered friends of course. Noxaura was not expecting to feel a gentle but steady hand on her shoulder. It caused her to look at Leandros but it seemed that the pain she was feeling was obvious. The pure reason she never looked at anyone when she had these episodes. She like a cat held her own and hide her pain until it passed. She probably would die alone in a room all alone. He then told her to take it easy and that they would move when she felt ready enough. Even going as far as to suggest maybe they should just go back. She could not explain herself because of so many factors working against her so she just was silent.
Aelous and Ceres were their guide... Well more Aelous then Ceres but still it seemed like it would be difficult to return and if they did likely they would get in trouble and be blamed by Aelous for causing trouble if they did have to rat him out. She honestly felt like that would just be cause for even more of a headache. Memory headaches passed a lot easier than tension headaches. Noxaura sensed someone was nearby besides her drak and Leandros and peeked again to see Arabella coming over to Leandros. At least it was not a threat so she did not need to worry about anything. That feeling translated to Noxious so she did not show any hostile feeling towards the shield and focused on being the look out even if it probably was not needed.
Noxaura however seemed to soon soothe down from the pain as the forcing herself from trying to remember and all things related to it, something she learned fast, soon calmed her down. She still was slightly out of it but at least the worst of it was over. She just needed to focus on the future. Really just focus on nothing in particular. She followed Leandros as he followed Aelous and Ceres. She gripped at his shirt. She did not expect him to glance backwards. Getting a nod she did not understand what the nod stood for but it seemed that he did not mind and continued onwards. Soon they left the horrible alley and were into the market place. While she winced as she gave thought to the comment Aelous had made she had a weird feeling of relief.
This was not what she felt. This did not bring her dread... This would not bring out such a passionate speech from Leandros. This seemed like a normal bazaar not a black market. She peeked with curiosity and some shyness as she saw different species she had seen in books only. She had not even seen a Kabit like most because she was woken from Stasis Shock. She saw cheerful talking, bartering, trading, and general looking at wares of stalls. Then there was Aelous... And Ceres who could only stand and watch... She gave a silent sigh. Could this boy really be trusted to be their guide? He knew his way but his manners... After a moment she heard Leandros echo her previous thoughts in which she gave a gentle nod of agreement.
Suddenly he glanced back at her and asked if she was okay. She figured this was the second time if not more if she had other episodes she thought went unnoticed that he had happened to see... "I am fine now... I just... Have memory headaches when I try to remember things I cannot remember..." She looked down with a frown. "In this case I do not remember why but I know the black market was a bad place for some reason in my past and it trigger something I tried to remember and this happened... It happens a lot. I suppose I should warn you so you do not think I am going to die every time I try to remember something." Considering she already looked like the walking dead add a headache to it and well...

Turn Down for Whom ?!
Words: 852:: WITH: CERES // LEANDROS // NOXAURAEerus could feel his jaw and face smooshed as Aelous dropped onto it, a growl rolling he wiggled his front shoulders and tossed his head to try and throw his own Bond Mate. Finally the Merah had gone to far when he hollered at Aelous. “You good for nothing Lantian Tramp! This Drak Deserves someone fitting!” He was still waggling that spatula about the air as he spoke. Aelous’ arm had shuffled just enough that the drak could peek at his prey. Crimson eye tightening around the white iris as suddenly; expanding his barrel chest fully he gave a half flap of his wings and a trumpet suddenly the spatula twirled from the Merah’s hand and smacked him square in the fuzzy face. “EERUS!” Aelous hollered suddenly pulling his own Aether force forward he got some ground by pushing his drak’s wings open fully and sliding him back. “Come on you big lug! Before you get us both killed, you act like this is this first time I brought you here” He sighed . “Your showing off for the pretty Shee-Draks!” Aelous was flabbergasted but still he pushed his drak until Finally Eerus tossed him back with a snort and folding his wings turned and made his way back towards the group. Aelous cut the hold of Aether and followed his drak as he approached they might notice the scar tissue sneaking out from under his skewed eye patch. His hand would come up and adjust it back to place before much could be seen but still the scar tissue had been visable for just a moment. A dark cloud tugged at Aelous’ mood while he fixed the garment. Finally as he turned back to face the group he looked about and threw an arm over Cere’s shoulder. “Well now! Sorry about that…” He cut a glare at Eerus. “Shall we get to our Destination then?” He asked and gave Cere’s a slight hug to show they were all fine now, he could almost feel the anxious mood about her. He could see it now the lights the drinks the comradory, was just was this tiny rag tag group needed. “To Loevis!” He said with a raised hand. He started to steer Cere’s down the main street snapping his free hand and giving a mental tug on Eerus like a leash to keep the wayward Blade on their heels. As they walked Aelous would point out this stall or that, and explain what the vendor was selling. Normally it was a food stall he would point out, simply put, Aelous liked food. The light that was cast around them was a strange luminescent orange like light reflected from water. Aelous explained that “The light here in UnderTown filters through UnderTown’s upper floors I believe there are fifteen levels in Root Town, not sure actually” He made a note to explore further until he knew RootTown’s ins and outs completely. You just never knew when you would need a good escape route. Many a day’s running from older brothers, fathers, angry cousins, or angry sisters had taught Aelous every nook and cranny of the Lindoni District; so maybe now that he was at the Acedemy it was time to learn it. RootTown was pretty much a neighbor to the Miri forest and the Academy sorta sat on a portion of RootTown’s roof. Aelous would finally shut his trap though when before them came a massive door made from what appeared the knoll of a tree. In fact the building marked Loevis seemed to be exactly that, a great petrified tree. There were no doors to Loevis and a sign by the door said “Leave your wares for war at the door, sit by the Fyr and have a Drink!” Aelous walked in and dropped two long daggers into a waiting doormen’s hands and strolled on through, his Drak giving a hiss to the man at the door before entering. As soon as Aelous came into the room his name was called aloud in greeting by several Lantians within. As the group would enter they would see a large dance floor surrounded by a ring of booth like tables and a bar on the right. Sparkly orbs of light floated around the room and created strange watery reflections on the walls and floors. Merah’s Lantians,Humans, Kabits and the spare Alacere were all enjoying the beginning of a night of celebration. Aelous turned to the group as they entered and held his arms out “Eh?” He asked everyone seemed … well young of course in this place you could never tell if someone was really the age they looked or if they had two hundreds year on your dumb ass. Aelous of course was one such face, but he was still young even in Lantian terms. Still this place looked fun and relaxing the music that played wasn’t very loud and seemed to also come from the hovering lights. coded by LILITH of ADOXOGRAPHY

| Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you There's so much I can do Don't judge this book by its cover I just look different than you It seemed like the comedy act was not going anywhere fast. Plus the moody Blade did not seem to like Aelous pushing and smooshing into his face causing him to growl. He seemed to wiggle his front shoulders before he tried to toss and bronco Aelous. Ceres could only watch as then the Merah seemed to finally go to far as he called him a good for nothing Lantian Tramp and said that Eerus deserved someone fitting. All the while still waggling his spatula in the air. Ceres felt that was uncalled for but could not do anything as suddenly Eerus gave a half flap of his wings and a trumpet. The spatula then twirled from the Merah's hand and smacked him square in the fuzzy face.
It seemed Aelous was none to pleased with that and finally used his Aether force to get a grip on Eerus as he hollowed his drak's name. He then told him to come along before they both got killed. He mentioned showing off for the shee-draks and suddenly she peeked at Christopher. It never occurred to her that the draks would have that type of... Stuff... The thought made her blush in her all her innocence. But it made sense otherwise where did the eggs come from? She saw Christopher look back at her calmly as if to say he had no such desires. He was to snobbish to really care but then again Ceres figured it was easy to say you never were going to fall in love and then of course you find someone who changes all you think... She wondered if Christopher would think the same if he ran into another drak or if drak 'love' was different?
Suddenly both headed towards the group. She noticed that Noxaura and Leandros had made their way behind her more or less. She was happy to see that Leandros did not look to be hostile in the area and that Noxaura seemed to be feeling better. She then noticed a bit of scar tissue peeking from under his eye patch and then once again something hit her. Why did he wear an eye patch? She always figured it just had been a fashion thing. But she clearly had seen what looked to be a scar... She noticed him tug at the patch and he seemed to be in a dark place but he seemed to be cheerful again once it was back in place. As he threw an arm over her shoulder. He apologized just as Christopher gave a unhappy hiss at the closeness of Aelous. He began to sulk. It seem they were going to their destination. At getting a hug she returned it seeing he was okay and felt bad she had not been able to do anything to help.
Ceres was hoping they would reach their destination soon because as fun as the marketplace was it seemed to be somewhat dangerous in some ways. Suddenly he said to Loevis and then with a raised hand started to steer her down the main street. Christopher followed closely at their heels not wanting to leave the two alone and not to happy to have to deal with them being so close in the first place. Ceres listened as Aelous was being a tour guide of sorts pointing out this and that. Explaining what a vender was selling. Though she noticed a trend that most of the things were food and guessed Aelous had a thing for food. The lights that were cast around them were strange and orange but pretty. He explained the level system in Root Town though he was not actually sure it seemed.
He finally seemed to go silent when they came to a massive door that appeared to be the knoll of a tree. She looked at it with interest part of her Earth Element called to the building due to the building being a petrified tree. She looked at the sign and was not sure what to do. She felt weird if she did not have her bow but when Aelous left his draggers in the doormen's hands and strolled in she guessed she should too. She took her bow off and the holder for her arrows. She shyly handed them and rushed after Aelous. Christopher went after not giving any attention to the doormen. She noticed just as she went in that Aelous seemed to be greeting several Lantians within. Seems like he was pretty well known around here. She felt rather weird though. She could not stick to him like glue here yet she felt rather awkward just standing around so she looked towards what seemed to large dance floor.
It looked to be a rather popular as Merahs, Lantians, Humans, Kabits, and spare Alacere were all enjoying the beginning of a night of celebration. Suddenly Aelous seemed to notice and welcomed them in. She was pretty sure both humans were 'underaged' if that thing even mattered anymore on earth and it certainly did not matter here. And of course Lantians did not exactly believe in age especially because one's appearance was not exactly a dead give away. The music was rather nice and she looked back to see if Leandros and Noxaura were at least enjoying themselves now? Suddenly she noticed she was offered a drink. She never drank but she politely took it. She noticed oddly enough so was Noxaura. She took it as well but seemed to do it in a more awkward way. She wondered if she would drink it. She kind of was going to wait until she did before drinking hers likely.

Shield of Atlantis Leandros Navaar / Dorm Commons
The duo of Leandros and Noxaura stood unsure of what to do. He watched as Aelous was arguing with a Merah stall keep and Ceres watched nervously. He had to stifle a laugh as his Drak slammed into Aelous' face. That stall keeper must be in hard times. His explosion against Aeluos was exaggerated and heated to the point of being almost too insulting. When the commotion was over, he listened as Noxaura unexpectedly talked. She wasn't known for her conversational skills and mostly kept to herself. In fact, this may be the most he has ever heard her speak at all. He was a little surprised at her sudden explanation. He never heard of memory headaches, but, up to just a couple months ago he would've laughed at the thought of Lantians and Draks. With a smile, he nodded to her. "In that case, we will just have to avoid triggering those thought memories for now. If something happens, just let me know and I'll do my best to help."
He didn't know exactly what he could do to actually help her. It isn't like painkillers were readily available and if those would even work. He would probably get her somewhere without to much noise or light so as to lessen the headache's pains. A memory headache might be different thought. He toyed with the thought as he looked up to where Aelous and Ceres were entering the ancient looking tree. That place looks like a recipe for disaster. With Noxaura's headaches and them being Human, he wasn't sure what to expect. Maybe he should talk to Noxaura some more. "If you want to go in there, I won't object. And we will stay away from conversations about the Black Market for the time being okay?" He said trying to reassure her. Who knows how she might react in a place like that? But it was all he could do to try and help the situation.
He eyed the entrance and noticed both Aelous and Ceres giving up their weapons going into the makeshift building. It made sense, and he didn't bring his shield so he didn't have to worry about it. Arabella seemed content to sit near the two as she got shy around the crowds. How did that place handle Draks? Were they welcome there like any race? If small enough, he could wager they are welcomed in just fine.
What would that club really be like? He knew of a few on Earth both before and after the war. They were loud, dark, smelly, and invasive places before the war. After the war you could add extremely dangerous to that list. He was no stranger to drink since there wasn't much to pass the time when on Earth. If he recalled, there was an age limit on Earth pre-war but who knows here? With so many different races and varying looks to age, he doubted they had a system for such a thing. Maybe he could unwind after all, but he still had Noxaura to take care of.

Noxaura Nyx Lorelei words; 666 - tags; Aelous, Ceres, Leandros - notes; Uh oh... Now one could say Noxaura did not know Aelous all that well but he was the only other one from the Sagittarius nest or at least so far currently and therefore made it so she knew him at least more then in her personality wanted to know him so when she saw him arguing with a Merah stall keeper while Ceres obviously just watched helpfully all she herself could do is hold her head and keep clinging to Leandros. She watched as the exchange went from comical although it was pretty much lost on her to insulting which she was able to pick up on. Then it was over. At her explanation he nodded at her with a smile. He said that they would have to avoid triggering those memories for now and if something happens just to let him know and he would do his best to help. She had to glance up at him for a moment. She was not exactly used to that type of reaction out of people.
She imaged he did not know what to do in order to do but the thought and words counted. She herself did not really know what to do besides the coping skills she had developed since getting here and simply being told she would get them to expect them. Which in a way was anxiety provoking but also good to know... Suddenly it seemed like Aelous and ceres were entering a tree that looked like it was petrified. She was not exactly sure how welcomed a human would be but it was not like Aelous was stopping to hold their hands or tell them to turn back so... Suddenly Leandros continued to talk to her. Looking up at him she listened at he said if she wanted to go in there he would not object and that they will stay away from conversations about the Black Market for the time being. It seemed like he was trying to reassuring her. Well she figured if this was a club which she never was allowed in hopefully it would be something that would not trigger her.
"We might as well." She said to answering him. She watched as Aelous and Ceres gave up their weapons and went into the petrified tree. It seemed obvious not to have weapons as a club with a mix of races that might not be happy to mix races may get a little violent... But still she eyed her Scythe that was being held by Noxious. She guessed she would just have to trust these people not to lose her weapon or she really would end up losing her shit. It seemed like Drak's were allowed however so not all her comforts are allowed but at least she would have Noxious. So when they were at the door she allowed for her Scythe to be taken away even though she was not exactly pleased about it. So they entered and it seemed to be like a regular place for people to gather. She took her hand of her hand but kept a firm grip on Leandros.
Suddenly she noticed a cup was being given to her. It smelled weird so she just glanced at it. Seeing it was more or less forced upon her she just held it awkwardly. She noticed Ceres was peeking at her and also had a drink. What was she doing? Waiting for her to drink first or something? Cause that was not going to happen. The drink smelt weird and like a cat if it did not smell like it was going to taste good she was not going to drink it even though there was a interesting undertone to what she was given. She decided instead of having a semi confused staring contest about the drinks with Ceres she looked at Leandros instead not sure what to do with the drink she was given or what the heck it was in the first place.
