| Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you There's so much I can do Don't judge this book by its cover I just look different than you A small frown graced rose bud lips as the petite Lantian sat with her legs tucked under her legs. So far everyone had been scattered about and madness had erupted. She decided she wanted to feel air on her face so here she was in the coliseum. Funny a girl from the earth family feeling like a dying plant. How cliche... With a sigh she looked over to her mage who was peeking at her from his spot on the floor. "Oh Christopher... What am I going to do?" She said with a hopeless sigh. The mage made a few images flash in her mind. She blinked in surprise. She had brought a book with her to try and pass the time but unfortunately most of the books here were mostly repeats. Not that she was a snob but in the deepest darkest depths of boredom she did not think she could concentrate on a repeat... Especially when to her a repeat meant she read it over 50 times due to her old lifestyle.
She was surprised when her bondmate gave her the idea to train. Well... In a way it made sense right? She was sitting in an empty training area, despite the look of it being quite nature based, reading a book. Somehow something about that seemed wrong. She almost wanted to giggle at herself but then again she was more of a lover than a fighter. She read how to do things. She had tried to do a few things and her family stuck her in stasis to protect her. In a way as she looked at her plant like drak move from his spot over to another in his endless curiosity she guessed it was the best thing that happened to her even if she was bored. She wondered if she would be able to find Aelous. She was pretty sure he was an air element, that is what he said when they met, but that did not mean they could spar or train together. She felt comfortable around him. Clueless girl that she was had no idea he was a flirt. Then again perhaps with him she might learn. With a smile she closed the book. She then got up and stretched.
"Well let me get my bow it is over here." She said with a small smile growing. She never actually trained with her drak before. So she wondered how he would react. She had aether already unlike a lot of people on board so they were being thrust into getting used to powers they had no clue how to use and when they got used to it had to figure out what it was, how to control it without dying, and so much more. She had a bit of an advantage to that. She had those training wheels taken off awhile ago. Lantians even if they were nobility and were treated like a rose in a glass container were able to do such things. She felt badly for the humans yet she did not show them pity. She was pretty sure that was the last emotion they wanted shown to them. With a swift grab of her bow she smiled. Lifting it up and showing it to Christopher he gave a purring whistle to show his pleasure at the weapon and her wanting to train with him.
Suddenly she remembered she needed arrows. She was about to say something out loud but then she noticed a weight on her back. She gave a surprised noise before letting out a giggle at her silliness. Oh yes that was right while they were not the same as your typical run of the mill arrows they were arrows that never ran out as long as she still had aether in her. She then saw something flash in front of her that surprised her. "Really? Are you sure?" She asked not wanting to hurt her drak. He gave a fancy nod as it would not harm him. She then smiled and shrugged. "Well if you are sure." In a way it made sense. She however probably had to be careful unless due to being bondmates shared the same safety. She was about to get ready to train and looked to see that Christopher also was getting ready to dance about as if to be her target but paused. Eyes nailed towards the entrance. "What is it Christopher?" She asked slightly nervous. Hopefully it was not a commander.
She was still not used to the rules and did not want to get in trouble of yelled at... Christopher gave a purring growl at the intruder due to his protective nature over his bondmate knowing her well enough to feel the nervousness she gave off in his own self. He did not like how it felt and wanted to keep her from feeling it. Suddenly from the entrance a shape could be made out and it was not a commander or anyone she would get in trouble with. Ceres could not place the name but the face seemed familiar enough. It was another cadet at least and it was not one of the scarier ones or one of the sadistic sisters. So she felt like she could at least take a breath. Christopher looked for a moment before looking at Ceres. When he felt less nervous due to her relaxing he relaxed himself. He chirped at Ceres to get her attention wondering now that it was just a cadet that it was fine to continue where they were just starting.

I am my own MASTER. I will not SUBMIT to you. Now hear me ROAR!!!! ❝ Kaitlyn strode through the door on her way to train using her aether like she did everyday around this time of day. Zephyr who usually stays in the dorm to sleep until dusk-light, was fully awake today and was accompanying his bond-mate to the training hall to watch and of course stretch his wings a little bit more since he hardly ever got the chance to do so lately with all of this craziness going on what with the new cadets arriving along with their new rather handsome commander.
Kait had to smile to herself as she thought of how interesting things were getting in the academy. Walking through the halls away from the dorms rider and drak were slowly but surely making their way out of the academy proper and were heading toward the coliseum. Kaitlyn had to give it to the Lantians they sure knew how to make human architecture look like crap.
their coliseum made the one on Earth look like a big stone play pin, and Kait had been impressed by it when she had traveled their with her performance troupe before the invasion. Kait shuddered and quickly pulled her thoughts away from the past before they went down painful avenues.
Zephyr chipped in her mind hoping his presence would cheer her from her suddenly gloomy thoughts an idea suddenly popped into the young drak's mind and he quickly shared it with his bond-mate. Kait paused mid walk and looked down at the little mage hatching considering the option that her bond mate had just put before here.
"Zephyr I do believe you are a little genius. Your right I should go find that new cadet." With a new goal in mind drak and bond-mate set out to find their new dorm mate to see if the girl was any good with that bow and arrow she always carried around. Looking in the commons area and anywhere else that Kaitlyn and Zephyrus could think off they could not find that Lantian girl anywhere within the academy, and the only place left to look was in the Coliseum.
Heading there at a quick jog, Soon Kait was opening up the huge doors of the arena only to witness the girl aiming an arrow at her own mage class drak, Kaitlyn found herself pausing for the second time that day. Blinking she quickly recovered and stood up straight and spoke to the girl.
"Hi my name is Kaitlyn, Kait for short your my other roommate am I correct? I was wondering if you would like to spar with me?"

| Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you There's so much I can do Don't judge this book by its cover I just look different than you Ceres was surprised by the other cadet but now that she knew she was not going to get in trouble just figured she too was here to train with her drak. If she was not mistaken she was one of the roommates she had since living at the Academy but she more or less tried to sneak into the room when she guessed everyone would be asleep and got up before anyone woke up so besides the insanity of the actual matching up she did not really know for a fact. Lowering her bow Christopher relaxed his battle stance assuming that any training was on hold for the moment. Suddenly the girl spoke to her. She introduced herself as Kaitlyn, Kait for short and also it seemed she had the same idea as far as roommates went. She then wondered if she would like to spar with her. Ceres was a bit surprised by the sudden asking to spar but then again it made more sense then practicing by yourself right?
After a moment of thought and regaining herself she gave a small smile. "Oh uh, Hello Kait. My name is Ceres. Yes I think we both share a room with Kid if I remember correctly. I suppose we can spar. I was just going to do that with Christopher here but I guess fighting against someone else makes more sense. She said with a soft shrug. "um what do you want to practice sparring with? I know sometimes anything is game but sometimes there is one area both parties want to focus on so like just weapons or without draks?" She said softly suggesting a few things that would technically handicap but cause the person themselves to strengthen themselves. Although who knew maybe the girl wanted to go all out which was fine she really had no plans besides just shooting arrows and having Christopher avoid them.
Turning to the girl she walked away from the far wall so she was a bit closer to her and hoped she would at least do the same so she was not so close to the entrance. Least someone else came to try and train. Doing sparring near the entrance would be really dangerous as it would probably get someone totally unexpected injured. She figured she knew that however and did not bother saying anything. She just waited with a soft smile with her bow comfortable by her side but ready for when the sparring began. Christopher who was now by her side was excited to have something potentially more to do than simply dodge arrows. Maybe now he could actually stretch his wings so to speak.
