DATE:Taurus.09.2077 // TIME:: True Dawn TAGGED:: EVERYONE WORD:: 960
Dawn was breaking through the dusky Twilight as day truly began. But for the Arcis Knights their day was already busy. They’d been summoned well before Twilight to a Council meeting held by Analori Baefel. Now for the past two weeks they had been waking up Cadets introducing them to Nests and Unclaimed eggs, then assigning them dorms and training them in the raw basics of Aether. So this Council meeting was not a happy wake up call. They were informed of the new Nest of Taurus and it’s cadet’s being bonded just a few days prior. Great more introductions, more teaching.
Lady Sceltyr Delmire and her Ruka Commander Haedyn Drk’mire were just leaving the council chambers as dawn was breaking in the distance. Tyr stretched on long legs and yawned as she reached her fingers as high as they would reach. She stood barely 5’4” tall and was a slinky build, her frame masked in several old scars while a cascade of silvery white hair collected in a intricate braided bun at the back of her head. She wore her normal sleeveless duster jacket over a soft plated leather corset and tunic styled skirt with thigh high-legged boots. A belt of small bags rested across her slender hips while her arms were covered in a pair of black sleeves and a dark blue ebony pair of gauntlets, along the backs of forearms two deadly blades were locked in place. The finger cuffs of the gauntlets were also blade sharp on the right hand, and on the left hand what looked like an eight barrel shotgun wrapped about the wrist plates. The man behind her walked only a pace slower than his commander his dark hair and golden eyes matched the stern face and very tall build his frame supported. Not lanky but also not to heavy in muscle he seemed the perfect match of tone, form and build, a perfect soldier. He was wearing light armor consisting of shoulder cuffs, hip and spine plating, and shin and elbow guards. He seemed almost stoic behind the smaller female Lantian.
“Looks like it’s our turn to work over the Cadets” She sighed. Their group so far had been the only one assigned active Human Cadets, and so they remained on Atlantis a little longer than the prepared Teams of Lantian Cadets. Though Tyr had heard a few of their cadets were Lantian. This would be interesting. Icy Aqua eyes glint in Haedyn’s direction. “Shall we go wake the dead?” She asked before halting at the balcony opening. She pressed to fingers to her lips and produced a shrill whistle. The call Echoed out of the NAVI ARC TREE and fell into the skies around Atlantis. She only had to wait a few moments before he came.
Great ebony, umber orange and ivory scales mixed with plumage quaked the wind above the balcony and the slender form of a nearly adult Mage dropped from the air to land on sturdy hind legs. His fore limbs folding to allow him a good perch before his Bond Mate. His nose horn dropped down to her chest as the beauty snuffled her chest to greet her. Bright icy blue aqua eyes matching Sceltyr’s eyes locked with her as he studied her mind to see where she’d been.
She smiled and bound up his right shoulder as he lifted it to give her a boost into the saddle. Straddling his arched back she strapped leather holsters around her legs and pulled a helmet off her hip. Shuffling her shoulders until the jacket was comfortable as she lay along her Companions back. She gave a cluck of the tongue and Aerdis half turning half jumping lept back and over the railing of the balcony. Falling for a minute before clearing the Arc Tree did the Drak snap his wings open and pull out across the Skies. Tyr and Aerdis, a flying team unmatched in speed and wit in the skies, they were inseparable.
Tyr knew Haedyn and Doevis would catch up on their own time, so she spurred her drak on as he swept low over the vast expanse of the Mir’I forest. He let out a sharp chirp to announce his coming before picking up speed. Every wing beat dragged him faster and faster, while Tyr rode flawlessly perched between his should spines; her concentration absolute. Suddenly the Mir’I forest dropped away and before them rose the towers and wings of the Naefel Academy. Aerdis pulled his wings in an upward stroke and angled above the first skywalk.
Not long after her turned back and swooped down to land lightly on the front lawn of the Academy. Making a chirp- clack of his maw he demanded a snack. Tyr responded with a light flick of her wrist and a meaty fish snap was snapped from the air. Tyr clucked her tongue again and strode toward the entrance hall of the Academy. The doors were never barred unless Atlantis was under siege, so she gained access to the building with no problem. She made her way up the first corridors flight of stairs and then up around a half circle flight of stairs to a lift. Once the lift’s doors slide shut she hummed softly as she rose to the third floor and exited onto a long corridor lined with doors.
She wondered if any of the Cadet’s were awake just yet? It didn’t matter, they would be soon. She smirked deviously as she made her way to the Soul Strike Dorms and Commons room. Walking through the hologram eco green door it solidified just after she passed through it. She quirked a brow and glanced around half expecting to spot at least one of them awake…

WORD-844 NOTES: Nothing to say right now.
| Mid Morning Snack ✘
The light of the pre-dawn bullshit that was Aerdis’ twilight time had brought Azqua from a flushed night terror early that morning. She’d slide silent as a mouse from her bed wearing only a long black shirt, probably one of Selene’s, hung loosely and oversized on her slim frail form. Demon eyes locked with their twins when Snapyre’s sleepy head lifted to watch her companion. Azi gave a half smirk and dropped from the bunk to walk on bare feet out the dorm room she and Selene had been assigned to.
The Common’s room was empty when she arrived, good, she would have the kitchen to herself for once. She walked quietly around the circle of couches centered around a fire pit. This area of the common’s room was lowered four feet into the room’s floor and had steps leading down into what Azi called the pit. She and Selene had only been here for three days now, but she was already aware of many small places to tuck herself away.
As she passed the pit Snapyre’s head appeared from their room. She growled low in her chest as her tongue checked for others before she emerged. Azi only gave her a passing glance as she stepped into the kitchenette area. She start to search the cool cabinet for the prize she and her Feral drak had caught the day before. Some strange succulent little thing, sort of like a rabbit. Snapyre had not known what a rabbit was but this creature had been delicious. The size of a domestic dog it had been the perfect balance of fat and lean meat. Azi and cut the creature down with a small knife alone as she and Snapyre had ‘Hunted’.
She’s gotten her drak to round the beast back to her as Azi had waited under a root covered in dirt and muck. As the critter made a leaping bound to escape the clutch of sharp Blade Drak teeth it had been completely surprised by the tiny human leaping out of hiding and latching on like any wild cat would. Taking her knife she’d finished the job covered in blood while Snapyre stood growling and clacking her teeth in pride over her wildling bond mate.
Azi had taken the kill and herself into the creek bed near by to clean off, and then she’d skinned the creature from the shallows. Snapyre had spent this time nibbling up minnoes and scraps from the kill down the steam from Azi. When she’d finished Azqua used her shirt to wrap the meat she’d filleted and fed the scraps and bones to her Drak. Then they two made their way back to the Acedemy late in the evening. Azi had only nibbled a few uncooked morsels until now.
As her hands found the shirt she’d wrapped the meat in a smirk pulled across her face. Snapyre’s nostrils flared and she could almost smell the meat through Snapyre as the Drak’s concentration snapped to the meat held in her hands. She lifted it free of the cabinet and bumped the door shut with her hip as her Drak practically hurled herself over the counter trying to reach the meat. “Hold on you big Oaf!” Azi commented as she moved back into the Pit to try and start a fire. She fumbled a few times getting the fire started but then success as the strange orange and violet fire flickered to life.
She started to cook the meat slowly on skewers she’d located the night before. She tossed a couple bits to Snapyre but she made it clear that the Drak would only be able to share in part with this breakfast. She wanted her to hunt for herself again this afternoon. Of course azi would come if the day’s events allowed. During this time Azi wondered if Selene would be awake soon or maybe she’d slipped out while Azi had been busy. It was easy to miss someone in the pit if they were quiet, and Azi was always quiet.
But to Azi’s and Snap’s surprise the face that appeared first was Lady Sceltyr. Azqua tilted her head as the commander stuck her head through the door and looked in on them. Azi couldn’t be more different from this woman that the sun from the moon. Tyr had long silver hair while Azi’s hair was so black is was nearly blue, and Tyr’s eyes were blue and beautiful, while Azqua’s eyes, demonic and blood thirsty. Azqua averted her gaze from the woman and returned to the task before her. Unsure if she should greet the woman or not she didn’t really care that she was there.
Snapyre growled and made a funny chirp to Tyr like she was happy the Lantian woman was there. Azi was unsure but she felt that Lady Tyr had a special connection with all the Draks, they all seemed to like her, even her beastily dark companion. Snapyre growled at this thought before climbing out of the pit to greet Tyr with a chortle call.

( WORDS ) 1062 ( TAGGED ) Everyone ( MUSE ) None Her circadian rhythm had long ago been set to rise way before most. Add that to the genetics of a wolf and you had a perfect solider that never had an issue with sleep. Well unless there was a reason for her to be woken up but of course she always made sure to kill or quiet the reason that kept her awake. So it was only fair that Undine had a similar sleeping pattern. Although for Selene she could not really tell what the drak thought of the sleeping patterns. From what she could tell certain types seemed to like certain times of day better. Undine did not mind waking up with her but seemed prone to naps during the day. Unlike some of the others who were more active during the day. Maybe it fell back onto personality but maybe there was an nocturnal system or some sort of something to it.
When she decided to leave her room she noticed that Azi seemed to be having her night terrors again. Not that she could exactly blame the girl. She noticed she stole one of her shirts but she did not particularly care. If it was someone else she would likely have tried to rip out their throat though. With a stretch she silently left the room to leave Azi to try and get as much sleep as she could. She noticed the sun had yet to actually rise and gave a silent sigh. Sometimes she wished she could actually sleep in but even when she tried to she only ended up staring at the wall, door, or ceiling. So it was impossible. Even when sick she would rather be outside her room awake than trying to sleep it off. It was just impossible for her to oversleep. A good trait probably but annoyed her sometimes.
She felt Undine bump into her leg and she looked down to see that the kitchenette popped into her head. So she decided despite not being to hungry herself that her drak is hungry. She felt a sympathy pang in her stomach and followed after Undine. Silently stalking towards the kitchen to keep from waking the rest of the cadets she let Undine pick out what she wanted. She remembered what Mei had said Undine would like. Fish were available as were vegetables. So she got a bit of both and let Undine pig out. Taking a bit of fish for herself she nibbled on it to keep from having to come back later. She numbly waited for Undine to finish. After hearing a chirp she noticed a large mess and sighed. Finding something to clean with opening of a couple of drawers and cabinets she was able to clean the table, floors, and Undine.
Unfortunately for her that made it so it was now around dawn. With a sigh at least now everything looked like she had never been here. Leaving the kitchen she headed towards the library. Not that she was exactly a avid reader it did not mean she was afraid of books. Plus there was something about a the smell of libraries and the atmosphere of them that just were calming to her soul. It was rare to find places like that. Undine seemed to snake her way around the place and Selene lost herself in the room. Walking slowly around the place taking in the rows of bookcases. She went down a row and let her fingers gently run down a long row of books. She never saw such a luxurious library but then again earth was not really focused on books...
Part of her felt the peaceful atmosphere crack. She was sure her stupid cousin had. She knew it was not her fault per say and if she could only get revenge on one of them she would pick her father but... He got the idea from his brother's testing on his daughter, her cousin... She sighed. She had cat or some sort of genetics and to top his brother he tried to make her better than her cousin despite not having that beautiful gift of photo memory. She honestly had never hated her cousin until her life went to hell from the genetics. She had at one point been a laid back child. Despite the horrible conditions. Her family was insane with their alliances. Her cousin was special it could not be denied and even that did not upset her. She was happy for her she remembered that it was the genetics... That fucking genetics... She felt her hand stop running down the row of books.
She closed her eyes as she tried to push the memories back. Suddenly due to the silence she noticed that there was noises with said wolf genetics. It was muffled so she had no clue who it was or what it was... But did that mean others were awake and about now? How long had she been daydreaming for? There was no place to check so instead of standing around she gave a whistle and soon Undine appear from the rows of bookcases. Exiting she made her way through the academy. She then noticed by following scents that Azi's was strong in this direction as was Snapyre's. Following it she made her way to that direction. Just as she was about to go into the room she was cut off by the Commander, Lady Sceltyr so she paused. It seems she was peeking in on what she guessed to be Azi from the scents. She was not just going to barge in as that would be rude.
Undine gave away her silent presense as she gave a purr. Selene noticed that Undine seemed to like the commander but said nothing on it. She just took the fact that she was basically announced without having to speak as a blessing. She gave a polite gesture before walking into the room to see Azi and Snapyre. Not to her surprise due to the scent following she was so used to now. She gave her a glace and slight nod of acknowledgement before sitting near her. She figured if Tyr was speaking to Azi or wanted something it was something she also should also be privy to. She of course would leave if it was a private matter but she was not a mindreader.

Dorm Life, & the Blues ?!
Words: 833 :: WITH: EVERYONEAnother night spent in awkward silence within an empty dorm as the night dragged by. He’d thought joining the Flight Force he’d be free of Atlantis. But so far he was still trapped here. His father had stopped by once or twice. Spouting nonsense of maturing and learning to ways of the world. They both knew the truth of the matter though. Aelous’ father only meant to hide his son’s leisure ways with women. It was true though, Aelous had scored quite a few notches on his metaphorical belt. But still he wasn’t heartless about it. He just had problems with commitment. Dawn was peering over the horizon as he lifted his right arm above his eyes to gaze with one crimson eye along its length. Silvery tribal runes etched into his forearm and traced their way all the way up to his bicep now, marking him forever more a Wind Aether user. He considered the events that had led him to this moment. First his father had hauled him to the Stasis Hub in the depths of Atlantis. He’d been informed by this very same ’Father’ that he would be sleeping with the humans as they returned to Aerdis. So then he was put under to spend the duration of the trip. Then about a month ago he’d been waken along with a human named Kait and escorted to the hatchery. There the two had bonded and quickly found the girl did not like him in the very least. After that it had seemed he was doomed to mess whenever she was near. She was like bad luck in the worst of ways. They’d been paired during the first mission and separated; he’d busted his left arm and barely gotten back with the group by the event’s end. The girl hadn’t spoken with him since that mission. He partially blamed his right eye. His fingers dropped down to the eye patch sill firmly inplace. Lady Tyr had instructed him to keep the patch on, it would help him avoid strain. Hah strain, she had no idea how annoying his right eye had become. The migraines had eased up at least, and his left arm was finally out of it’s sling at least. Today must be better he hoped. He couldn’t remain the only male in the Soul Strike Flight Team. The scent of simmering luscious meat tantalized his sense of smell and caused the young Lantian boy to sit bolt upright in his bed. His movement rustled the Blade class companion that lay stretched out on the bed beside him. Ivory and ebony scales gleamed in the morning sun as the male flipped his body and slapped the flat of his tail against his bond mate’s head. Aelous wince and then shoved his mate off the bunk. Eerus dropped to the ground with a hiss and then shaking his body in length he turned shuffled from the room making his way into the commons room where the group seemed to be joining. Aelous dropped from the bunk and running hands quickly through shaggy gray white hair he flicked the tips of his ears and they perked up. He’d slept in his cloths again, it was weird sleeping in a room meant more than a single occupant. He gave his shirt a tug to free it of wrinkles then dusted his pants to free them of the same issue. Walking out on bare feet into the commons room he looked about a rag a muffin but non the less he didn’t care to impress anyone. He was however given pause as he notise the Sadistic Sisters who’d arrived only a few days ago where already assembled in the Pit. He didn’t actually know them yet, but the Twin’s as he called them seemed to give off the aura of Fuck Off all about them. Their draks also didn’t seem to like he or Eerus. Eerus stood before Aelous in the entry way his wing talons tilted down and a low grumble of warning directed at the younger, though still large Black Blade female bonded to Azqua. Aelous gave Eerus a pat and waving to Lady Tyr he made his way down to the pit opposite of the sisters. He dropped down onto the couch without using the stairs while Eerus curled along the rim behind and above Aelous’ head. “Smells Good Azqua!” He said trying to make small talk. “Mind if I have a bite?” He asked his face pouring only friendliness. Why couldn’t there be a more friendly Lantian girl around. Like that girl Cere’s he’d met. She’d showed up around the same time the Twins had came around but Aelous had been busy the last few days training solo in the forest. He and Eerus had a beaten path they used daily now, the habit was actually great for clearing his mind. But still Aelous was starting to loose his mind and need someone to talk to other than his companion. coded by LILITH of ADOXOGRAPHY

| Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you There's so much I can do Don't judge this book by its cover I just look different than you
A soft purring snore was ringing out in the otherwise silent room. A petite form was still under the blanket of the bed it was resting on. Blond hair fanning itself all over the place and even slightly spilling over the bed. Soft breaths in a calm pattern continued from when they began the night before. Despite the change of location and the fact it was not the bed back home she made herself at home the best she could with the help of her drak. While it had been awkward with being with roommates she was not close to she made due and was able to fall asleep after reading a bit. Book currently clutched to her chest in her restful sleep. Christopher after a little while gave one last purring snore before it turned to a chirping snort. Raising his head he gave a lazy look around as he awoke. Just as he did that green-blue eyes fluttered opened. The hug on a hard bound book loosened as she shifted up in the bed. The blanket slipped and her hair lifted up so it was more controlled. She looked over at Christopher who gave her a happy good morning chirp. She gave a quiet wave and smile to the drak to avoid being to loud in case her other roommates were still sleeping. She put her book on her pillow behind her and then slipped over to the lockers. It was time to change. To this she was happy it was still dark and she was in a girls dorm. Stripping off her night gown she stretched. She then changed into a pair of green shorts with a brown belt. She also took time to put on some tall brown boots. She also put on a shirt that was a bit more revealing that usual but it matched her shorts. It was a half shirt half vest in a green that matched the shorts. There were belts that were added for flare. The undershirt of white kept the shirt from being completely obscene. She then added a ribbon of a similar shade of white to keep her hair under control. Once finished she grabbed her bow. Closing the locker she then looked at Christopher who had been looking at the door wanting to leave and check out the academy. With a smile at her drak she went over to the door and opened it. Making her way down the hallway. Her mind was slightly free floating ironically considering her element. Ceres was still trying to get used to the life that was a different type of suffocation. Although if she had to choose she perfered this type. She could not picture her life without her mage drak Christopher or Aelous. She had a drak and a friend. Two new things she never had. She also could consider the schooling and training up there too. A happy yet shy smile graced her lips as she continued to check the place out. She noticed the sun was up enough for light to be in the sky so she guess she slept in later than most. That was comfirmed when she smelt food and heard what sounded like someone talking. Was it time for breakfast already? She was not exactly sure how things worked around here. At home you were to wake and everyone ate together and if you were the one to hold people back from eating and the food got disgusting... Well then obviously you were not exactly going to get many good mornings. Hopefully it was more of a help yourself here... Right? They were not royalty so it was more casual and of course she could not imagine everyone being babysat like that... Yet a bit of panic due to her old lifestyle made her put a little extra skip in her step. She just noticed a figure up ahead in the common's room. It looked like her female commander. Well technically her commander was a guy, Haedyn, but he was second in command to this woman Sceltyr so yeah. Respect for both no doubt. She made sure to give a proper greeting, perhaps a bit to proper, but Ceres was a polite girl who while a bit timid and quiet was always friendly and unable to be mean. While she was not sure how a proper greeting would go over she did not exactly wait to see as she was to embarrassed. Plus she noticed who was cooking the meat as a familiar voice spoke her name. Well at least she would not be alone with them. That would be awkward for her. Well she was here and standing next to the commander technically was awkward, as a cadet, what right did she have standing next to the commander? So she made her way and sat next to Aelous. giving him a polite greeting and letting Christopher sit next to her. She then tried to keep from seeming to timid and keep her friendliness outshining her shyness. words: 850 | tags: Everyone | notes: Click the link to see outfit |

Haedyn Drk'Mire
notes: Coming in from the hatchery if VAL wants to follow me in!
|
Always staying a few steps behind his short commander Haedyn watched as her tiny frame stretched and she groaned about training the Cadets. Golden eyes watched on and silence still held the tall thin Lantian man. Shaggy black brown hair fell across his brow and framed his face. His normal attire was also in place and he gave Sceltyr nothing to respond to as they made their way down the corridor to a landing balcony. He continued on in silence as her Mage Class drak landed and greeted his bond-mate. They had been in the meeting for a while. He partially blamed Ana. But things could not be rushed when the Royals were involved.
He sighed remembering that during the meeting he’d had to see his adoptive ‘Family’ The Doevis royals had taken in him and sent him into the military, in a way he was their younger brother, but still he never felt the same warmth they exuded onto him. The wind from Aerdis’ wings caught Haedyn’s attention as his Wing Commander dove away. He waited a moment before giving a sharp whistle. He didn’t have to wait long, the beastly Blade class dropped from the bark above his head with a feral growl and a shake of his quill like scales. Haedyn snapped his fingers and the gigantic blade named Doevis stepped foreward and lowered his neck to allow Haedyn free passage to the saddle.
With a springy jump Haedyn pushed off his companion’s shoulder to straddle the saddle and strapped his legs in. Doevis didn’t give him a moment’s pause though as the beast leapt over the rim of the balcony and large wings snapped open. Doevis already knew where his companion wanted to go, the Hatchery, while Tyr took care of waking the dead, Haedyn would check with little Mei to see if any new cadets had arrived. Doevis angled his wings and with a few great strokes came around the bend of NAVI’s great trunk. Here Doevis decided to call out and greet the morning, his deep voice rattled crystal window panes as they swept by.
Haedyn couldn’t help but chuckle as his dominant Drak challenged the day. He then bent low in the saddle and shifted his weight forward. Doevis felt the slightest adjustments in the saddle and angled down into a sharp circling descent. His arch growing wider and tighter to adjust for his speed as he finally came around to land before the large roots of the Hatchery. Mei was sitting on a root close to the entrance her pink hair catching Haedyn’s eyes first before bright lime green eyes stared at him.
“How did I know you would be here?” She purred “Now now Lord Haedyn, there aren’t any hatchlings for you and the beast to collect. I have already sent them on their way!” She shook her head and turned her face back to the sun again, a deep sigh escaping her, the hatchery was quiet today and apparently the Kabit would be spending the day sunbathing. Lazy thing. Haedyn decided.
He didn’t hate the Kabit’s he knew they were a proud, if tiny and strange, race and they worked harder than no other, at they own crafts of course. But what Haedyn didn’t like about the springy little people was the fact that they held the gift of fore sight and refused to share their knowledge with others but their own kind. He’d tried once to get a straight answer out of Mei, but after nearly an hour of her rambling rants he gave off and left the trickster to her own devices once more. He gave a sigh and shook his head at the small woman. Not even bothering to leave the saddle or respond to her he turned and with a clutch of his tongue he and Doevis left the ground once again.
They climbed this time away from the NAVI Arc Tree to the west of Atlantis. The city passed quickly beneath them as Doevis pulled his great wings forward the current only helping him along. The Mir’i forest rose up as the city vanished beneath and behind them. They banked to the left and came around a few taller trees as they came a back around the Naefell Academy appeared igrown over a stream that led into the Mir’i forest. The wooden structure was vast and intricate design grown strait from the NAVI Arc Tree, a small ‘hub’ NAVI still had access to this area and would often appear though she RARELY spoke to anyone other than Ana these days.
Haedyn figured it was because Navi was like a mother to the Harkronis ship’s and since they’d lost three on Earth it wasn’t hard to see why she was quiet now a days. Dovies landed with a heavy thud on an upper balcony and allowed Haedyn to slide down. The lanky Lantian made his way quickly down the corridor and found the SoulStrike Dorm post haste.
Upon finding the door he Found Sceltyr still in the doorway. Her face appeared to be displeased, apparently her mischief had been post poned. He couldn’t help but smirk at her. If anyone was like family to him it was her, a small tiny thing but deadly when angered, she’d been his protector when they were younger and like a older, though younger sister. It was a strange bond the two had and this was why it was clear to him that she was disappointed.
He took a moment to glanced about the room and noticed three of his own Cadets were already assembled while Tyr only had the one. He gave her a cocky grin, his cadet’s were already showing great promise. He noted Azi’s chaotic stare into the fire and remembered Ambrose had warned him that she was to be watched. She’d had a … strange waking, and an even stranger mutation apparently. He quirked a brow at the troubled girl before noticing the Wolf like female beside her, they weren’t sister he knew, but still they looked like it non the less.
Aelous was here, trouble waiting to happen the boy had failed horribly at the first few missions, and his training spirit lacked luster. But Haedyn loved a challenge, he gave the young Lantian an even glint and turned to nod to Ceres. “Looks like 1 nothing there Tyr” He whispered into Tyr’s ear hoping to poke the bear.

Noxaura Nyx Lorelei words; 864 - tags; Everyone - notes; A bit short but will try for longer as time goes on. A dark drak curled up like a cat. Greens circled and struck through her body in a design that struck out like lightning. One might mistake her for a water element from the pattern or maybe an earth element due to her colors but she was a fire element true and through. She was a true match to her bondmate who was also curled up like a cat sharing the bunk due to their being enough room. The girl who shared the bed was a gloomy girl who breathed in unison with her drak. Dreaming the same dreams she had in her stasis shock. At this point it did not effect her anymore. She was comfortably numb by it all. She took everything with a calm-ish grain of salt. Trying to just do what she could with what life handed her.
She had been living with new people but at this point what point was it to make a fuss. She did not know anyone although... One of those girls struck her as odd... She could not place it but then again what could she place in this jumbled puzzle that was her memories? Due to her love of the night she had stayed up fairly late. Due to her love of the dark it did not matter that she was in the darkness while whomever her roommates were slept. She never really bothered to get to know them. She was pretty sure they also were on a different sleep schedule as her. Due to her genetics she also liked sleeping odd hours for longer amounts of time. One might think her lazy but she just took cat naps. Silently however with a sync that was almost haunting with her drak she woke.
It was a gentle waking. With eyes opening with a few flutters. Shocking noxious green eyes were shown. She looked around the room and with an twitch of her ears she noticed that it was silent in the room. Perhaps her roommates left or were just very silent sleepers. She did not care to peep on them to find out. Instead she decided to find out where the noise her ears did pick up was about. With a quick stop at her locker she changed from one dark dress with a bow to another dark dress with a bow. One would say she did not exactly vary but then again this was war not a fashion show. Grabbing her weapon of choice she gave a click of her tongue as she hated to talk unless needed to and walked out of her room.
She immediately smelt the cooking of meat. Luckily for her she was more of a seafood type of eater. Cats themselves could go either way but human wise she liked her fruits and vegetables and with the hint of cattish genetics some fish. Maybe chicken once in awhile but the red meats never appealed to her. As much as some might probably like to stereotype. Although rumor had it one of the girls was feral and had a taste for blood and the other older girl she liked hanging with was not to different. Wolf like and probably had a taste for the redder meats. Funny how some could bond so quickly with each other outside of their draks and some like her just decided to stay alone. Making her way until she noticed the two commanders she noticed that Haedyn was whispering something in Sceltyr's ear.
It was none of her business so she in her almost ghostly like way just past them both. She did not give must attention two the two girls that seemed to be enjoying being the evil popular girl cliche nor the two that seemed to have some sort of crush not crush on each other. She just went forward and found herself some left over fish. Giving a few to Noxious who seemed hungry she took one and ate it quickly. She then made her way over to the group silently. She did not get close to the two girls nor the couple on the couch. She simply made herself comfortable closer to the couple but on the floor. Letting Noxious curl around her and rest her head in her lap. She wondered who else would be joining them this morning. She figured they would be training or something.
She looked over at the wolfish of the girls and noticed she seemed to be given a death glare. She could not fathom why but perhaps it was because they looke similar and the girl she was with had already adapted to copying her style? She did not want everyone starting to wear black? Unfortunately all she had was black clothes. At least her clothes were in the form of dresses... Little did she know their bond went deeper than clothing wars. After awhile she felt the glare drop perhaps because the woman felt it was not a good thing to do with the commanders present. Who knew... Who cared. She then settled herself in further much like a cat. Aloof and mostly uncaring unless she really needed to stand to attention. | |

Shield of Atlantis Leandros Navaar / Dorm Common Room
A larger man lay asleep on the floor on top of any semblance of cushion he could manage. The past night was a little rough as Arabella, his lovely new companion, decided the bed was more comfortable than the floor and attempted to use it. Due to her weight and size however, she crushed it as she lay on it. Not that Arabella seemed to mind, she curled right up and went to sleep within minutes. One of the more peculiar acts of his drak, it was almost cat-like in its nature. If not eating, she was sleeping almost all hours of the day. He assumed she needed her strength in order to carry that cumbersome figure around and she probably doesn't even notice how large she is. His first night upon staying in this dorm, Arabella nearly took out a wall that would have become a new doorway for the room if not for Leandros' insistance she simply use the regular door. She was almost as stubborn as he was as Leandros had to get stern with her only a few times. When he did however, she was a cooperative companion and seemed to shy away at times when she stumbled into a table or wall. Every time she did, he laughed it off in order to calm her down and it seemed to help out.
The morning was underway as Leandros' eyes snapped open. Cornflower eyes regarded the rest of the room as he woke. His knack for consistently waking at this time can draw its roots from his farm days as well as his running and gunning days where he could only get sleep where he could. He had almost forgot his Drak hijacked his bed and he smiled at her. Arabella might be more than a handful, but she was always a joy to have around, at least, for him it was. He didn't know about his bunk mate's feelings on the matter. So far, his was one of the few shield class Draks around and maybe that made them harder to integrate with groups due to their clumsy and lazy nature. At least she was easy to feed. Leandros would just let her into a heavily green area where she grazed on fruits and herbs for hours while Leandros sat studying and watching over her.
As he stood up, he could hear the soft cooing of his Drak's peaceful sleep and it only made him smile with a shake of his head. He used her cooing as a cue to help with his routine. Leandros would heft anything heavy around him in rhythm with his Drak's breathing until he was satisfied, and after that would be leg works. Once he was satisfied with his results, he changed clothes and silently exited the room. If Arabella awoke and needed him, she would find him. It was a strange thing, how easily his companion could track him down. He threw on a simple white tank top with khaki pants and black belt fully loaded with various odds and ends for Arabella.
After receiving the bond, he learned everything he could about his companion. Turns out, what he was told at the hatchery wasn't everything about his drak he would have liked to know. For instance, her scales would only stay clean as long as she stayed asleep. As soon as she woke to eat, she dirtied them up and scuffed them on any object she happened to run into. Be it rock, tree, or person. So, he did his best to clean her scales with rag and water, but it only seemed to do so much to help. Leandros probably needed something more to aid him, but this was the best he could do with what he had.
He exited the room, shutting the door softly so as to not wake anyone or anything and made his way to the commons. It seemed most of the dorms were already awake and about their day. First, he saw the woman Azi. Leandros could only wonder what it was that made her have eyes like that. When he was a kid, he would say such things were impossible. But then, he said the same thing about Draks. She usually kept to herself which Leandros could respect, but she gave off the vibe that any interaction with her would yield a broken ego at best. She seemed to be in interaction with Lady Tyr who stood in the doorway studying the cadets.
Lady Tyr was beautiful even by Lantian accounts as far as he could gather. Highly regarded in her own right, it seemed she was here for them. If there was anything Lady Tyr would want with the Cadets, it surely had to do with their bonds, or their Aether. Which reminded Leandros of the mark on his right cheekbone. Absently, his hand lifted up to touch it slightly as a reminder of the life he now lives.
Standing next to her was Haedyn Drk'mire. The man looked physically strong without being overbearing. And it looked like his eyes never missed much. If Leandros had assumed correctly, this was the man to instruct cadets on Aether. If Haedyn is going to be the one to teach them anything, he hoped it didn't involve too much conflict, but he simply knew that wasn't the case.
The next in the room was the wolf like girl, Selene. The way she moved and reacted to certain situations was an indicator of gene tampering. Leandros always felt a little shifty around her as back on Earth, any gene manipulated enemies were something that usually caused great worry from his little group. If Tyr and Haedyn wasn't standing there he would say Selene is probably the most dangerous person standing in that room.
After her was one of Leandros' bunk mates. The self-proclaimed super romeo, Aelous. His knack for sweeping women off their feet was something to behold from any perspective, but he never held on to the women he lured in. Leandros never understood why. If he was in any shape to commit to any kind of relationship like that, he wouldn't simply let it go. But then, Leandros was the farthest from stable enough to have a real relationship, so he couldn't blame Aelous. At least he was having his fun.
If Aelous was the adventurous and social type, Ceres was his opposite. She was quiet and timid around these strange people. Her young looks and small figure gave the illusion that she was a child, she actually reminded Leandros of one of his younger sisters. Always shy and seemingly innocent to a fault. Any thoughts of his family were quickly erased from his mind however, he would need to not remind himself of that if he was going to work with this girl. Besides, he was positive she was far from helpless.
Leandros' eyes fell to the girl Noxaura. Of everyone one currently in the room, she had the most mystery to her. She carried herself with confidence and yet never seemed to really be there. Leandros guessed she was usually in her mind, sizing others up, studying the odd ends and trying not to make too much of a connection. Leandros felt something kindred there. He spent most of his time in his mind himself, but didn't carry the same air to him as she did herself. He could only wonder what a girl like this might be capable of one day.
There was one missing however, he noticed, glancing around with a raised brow. The last he knew of was Kid. A fitting name too as she seemed to act like one most of the time. Often her nonchalant attitude would grate on Leandros' nerves, though he keeps it under wraps. She wouldn't be the first that knew how to press his buttons, but those were thoughts he strove to stay away from.
Leandros had sized up the room merely moved to the kitchen to grab himself some picked carrots from yesterday. Since his Drak started eating the way she naturally does, Leandros followed her lead on this. Since she was almost always around food such as that and Leandros was always at her side, it was easier to simply make the switch to fruits, vegetables, and herbs with the occasional slab of meat. This was, of course, a treat. Still, he ate silently at the carrot and watched the room with intent. He waited there to see how things would pan out in front of him.

Sceltyr’s luminescent eyes swept the room as various members of their group either filed in to join the demonic child or were straggling behind. Tyr sighed as she noticed quite a few were still absent. She had a sneaking suspicion that Kid was heading for the labs again a worried frown pinched her brow before Haedyn mumbled his new tally into her ear. Pointed ears twitched as fiery azure eyes cut in his direction. A single look normally silenced any it fell upon. Then clearing her throat she returned her attention back to the group before her. Several greeted her as they either entered or noticed her.
Azqua’s blade drak approached her and Tyr kneeled down before the blade to look her in the eyes and run her hands along the Drak’s face and horns turning her head a little as she did a quick examination of the Blade baby. She said a soft word to the drak and smiled before standing. The word was one of power, the old tongues, she only every spoke them loud enough for the Drak’s to hear and even those with heightened senses only ever heard a gargle or static.
Having taken count of everyone that was here she decided those who were late be damned, she had no time for laze-about’s. She tilted her gaze upon those assembled before her and nodded. “Right Then, Good Skies everyone, may your wings carry you far. Today Haedyn and I are going to assign you to your Teams, then we will pair you all off for some lessons on Wielding your Drak’s like a weapon. Then we will conclude the day with a briefing on our first Mission. We will also be welcoming more Cadet’s into the fold throughout the Taurus Hatching. Many eggs are still left in the trees, so who knows how many more Cadet’s they will push into our group. So do not be surprised if newcomers show up lost, and know that I expect Each of you to act accordingly and help newcomers out in any way you can. Now” She glanced about the room to ensure she still had their attention before she continued.
“In our Taro Flight Team we will have Aelous, Ceres, and Noxaura. “ Tyr’s eyes paused on Aelous as if giving him fore warning. Then she motioned to Haedyn. “On the Ruka Flight Team we wil have Selene, Azqua, and Leandros.” She nodded happy to see they had an even number at least for now. She moved forward a few steps her boots clacked in the silence. “The Taro and Ruka Teams are an ancient tradition that evolved from our ancestors flight patterns. They would use the TaroRuka moves to help file out wild dragons as they wanted to find the best traits for their new nests. Of course in those days the Draks were more Dragon than our beautiful bond mates today. So the tradition has lasted for centuries and pre-dates the True Drakian Race’s birth. These two Flight Teams are always paired together in Alpha and Beta command positions. For instance if all hell breaks loose in battle, I am and will always be the final judge. However, if you are part of the Ruka Flight Team you will receive commands through Haedyn who is my Second in command. The Ruka Team is also in charge of Protecting the Taro Flight Team. The positions I have assigned you today will not be permanent. For now we will shuffle you about from mission to mission until we decide how best to place you in the final Rank Testing. Now are there any questions?” She asked. As always straight to the point, she was not one who liked to chit chat.
She wanted to get on with the training so that she would be able to weed out any trouble makers. She had, more than had enough of sitting and talking for one day. The morning briefings with Analori had been a horrible way for the Fire Aethis, she wanted more than anything to melt something anything! She just needed to get to work before she lost her mind and hoped the cadet’s weren’t in quizzical moods.

WORD-466 NOTES: Nothing to say right now.
| Mid Morning Snack ✘
Watching as her drak moved away, she poked another skewer into the flames before her. The light reflected on her face in an errie way while she watched Tyr greet Snapyre. Her blade cooed while Tyr gave her a quick once over. Azqua wasn’t worried she knew Snapyre was in perfect repair, none of the other draks dared to bother her. However, seeing Selene walk before staking her place at Azi’s side gave her thought to the glow worm of hers. She’d snipped at Snapyre once or twice but never really enough to gain Snapyre’s attention. The ebony drak seemed to treat the mage as a little sister almost a reverse of how the girls acted with one another.
As Tyr whispered a word of Power to Snapyre she would feel a slight pull of energy from herself and her drak. Demonic eyes snapped over to Tyr before returning elusively back to the fire before her. What the hell was that she wondered. She pulled her own thoughts farther from Snapyres in attempt to distance herself from Tyr. But then the pull was gone and Snapyre’s head whipped around to stare in concern at Azqua. Azi decided to ignore the blade and pulled the now glowng skewer from the fire, her hand red from being so close to the fire was nearly burned.
Azi paid it no heed though and took a feral bite of the still piping hot meat. Leandros made his entrance about then and demonic eyes retracted on his form mirror images of Snapyre’s own eyes. They watched the young man as he made his way into the kitchen. Then Tyr started talking and her attention snapped to the woman that was heir ‘Commander’ Azi ate on while she talked unphased as she was paired with Selene. She was starting to think the Lantians were afraid to separate them ~Good~ She thought her eyes flicking over to Selene before back to the woman as she finished her history lesson for the day… hopefully.
Did Azqua have any questions; this gave her feeding frenzy a pause as she lowered the half empty skewer. Her head cocking to the side like an animal once more. Were questions even relivant at this point? Did it matter what words they used, they were still going to train, Azi’s logic worked quick as a whip and her demonic eyes blinked and un hazed she shook her head once to signify she had no questions then continued her meal.
Snapyre moved back to Azi and bumped her nose against the girls knees. Azi’s eyes flicked at her then back to the fire unphased and in a trance again it seemed, by the fires movements.
