Settings: SAGITTARIUS (JUNE) 29TH DAWN!The day was just turning anew and all across Atlantis a loud bell was chiming. Its song echoed across the island to announce the beginning of the Nest Hatching. The month of Taurus was beginning, and the Drakma were leaving the Hatchery in great bursts of speed. Cadet's were being either brought, instructed, or even being awoken in preparation for the next bells. And in only three hours the city roared with cheer as the bell sounded again. The eager Cadets followed their guide up the winding path of the outer forests that led to the hatchery. When the tree broke the Lantian guide halted and pointed his stave down the path in the direction of three gigantic roots that erupted from the ground, and grew into the intricate design of a grand building. This building was the hatchery the guide would urge them on down the path but would other wise remain silent if directed questions. So as the Cadets made their way down the path and through the great arch of the doorway they were greeted by vibrant hues of green and aqua, as and orchard of crystal Aether trees grew holding the eggs in their branches and among their roots. But even their highest of branches could easily be climbed to. A young Kabit sat on such a branch her lime green eyes clashed against her strawberry pink mane. Long sleeves covered her hands but a short skirt showed up her long rabbit legs. Her plume of a tail twitches as did her large tall cat ears and she gave a soft mewl as the Cadets gathered in the room. Sneezing the Kabit girl swung her foot from the branch and called out "Yoo-Hoo! Up here. Hai Hello and Welcome. Or good morning if you've just been told of your circumstances. My name is Meilenn and if you need Any assistance I am here for you!" She gave a verbal purr before continuing. "Anyways this is the second Clutch of Taurus and there are many many eggs for you to choose from. But please we find the best match is to go to the egg that calls to you. Just shut your eyes and follow that pull, that call of the aether! Your Bond Mate Awaits!" She swept her arm to the tree beside the one she rested in. " This tree is ready, but don't despair if you do not hear the call. The other Clutch trees may be ready sooner than you think." She smiled gently before nodding and waiting for them to continue, she would remain there for any help that was needed, and to protect the eggs. I'm tougher than nails I can promise you that Step out of line and you get bitch-slapped back A gun ready to blast It's the wild wild west and I'm fast cause I'm a badass
A woman with dull blue eyes and blue tattoos around them was roaming around aimlessly for the umpteenth time since she found herself in this sci-fi novel. With a hand through her hair she gave a silent sigh. Just as she was about to take another step a loud bell started to chime. A song echoed in her ears to rest into her head. She knew it was time for eggs of those dragon like creatures she saw everyone with to hatch. They just needed a Cadet to bond with. With a nonchalant look to her side she was one of those enigmatic freaks that was unbound. Did not have anyone yet. Despite waking up and asking what the last bell had meant to her it meant nothing and here she stood with nothing but herself and her weapon. Yet... There was something about this bell that made her almost anxious. It was weird to have such a feeling when she almost prided herself in being emotionless to benefit the health of those around her.
With a crossing of her arm the scent of many different people came upon her. Yes she was surrounded by people but these gave off that nostalgic fresh baby smell almost. Well consider her interest peaked although she had to be honest she was not exactly someone who wanted to go to a large group gathering... But that anxious feeling was still there. Using her tracking skills she was able to find the group that seemed to range in the typical age she saw of seventeen to around her age to a few years older of twenty-six. She had no idea what she was doing. For all she knew she was not even allowed to be near this group but so far no one said anything to her and the closer to walked with the group and where they were going the more anxious she got... And as fun as it would to blame it on her lack of people skills she was pretty sure it was something deeper.
She noticed that the leader had made it so the doorway was able to be opened and to that an orchard of crystal Aether trees held eggs. Some as low as the roots and some as high as their top branches yet it was still possible to climb to them. She made a face she felt something in this room but she could always be falling to the peer pressure of not having a drak and being a freak. As unhuman as she acted she was human... What she saw next clearly was not. It caught her eye next to one of the more tamer colored eggs. It took her a moment to understand it was actually alive as the plume of her tail twitched along with her large tall cat ears. As everyone gathered into the room which she more or less blended into the best she could she heard the woman give a mewl.
Suddenly she gave a sneeze which made Selene lean back slightly. Suddenly like a bucket of energy raining down from above she swung her food and greet them. Selene felt her mouth open ever so slightly... What the hell did she get herself into? Was it to late to leave? It seemed it was to late as the woman started to speak and her departure would gain her unwanted attention. With another silent sigh she listened the best she could. She was there for assistance she picked the much. That this was the second Clutch of the Taurus. What really got her attention was the mention of a pull. Was that the annoying feeling in her gut that kept getting stronger and what she wanted to blame on being around more people than she could remember? She mentioned bond mates and then it was to the tree besides the one she rested on. It seemed that clutch was ready. Well then... Might as well give it a go... Blending blending...
She went around the tree at the bases before she went to try for anything at the top. It seemed to make the most sense. She wondered why she was going this granted she had been alone for awhile now but somehow she felt it was more than peer pressure. It was not like she could exactly blame it on bad burritos anymore. No this was completely different something in her heart bled in agony at her, something in her brain screamed excruciatingly at her, there was something missing. She had felt it when the bell chimed but now it was almost painful. While she clearly was someone who was not one who went seeking for companionship even she knew something was wrong. Perhaps in all of this time she had been unbound and felt fine alone she just had yet to find the correct drak to be connected with her and that it was not her destiny to be alone forever. No this was not to fit in or anything but something deeper more personal.
While she supposed these little get together of when clutches of eggs hatched was nothing new, due to the number of draks that were partnered up she saw with their bond mates. Not to mention the grandness of when new egg clutches were announced to Cadets. She herself never saw a reason to go nor said grandness besides the bells the whistles. It was just that... Yet there was something different about this group. She was willing to risk putting herself out there for this clutch... Why? In the back of her mind the question echoed every so often as she found herself circling trees and looking up them every so often. Perhaps they would be like minded as she was and want in and out as quickly as possible. Though Cadet's did not really have a choice did they? Perhaps she would run into her worst nightmare and these people would be loud and obnoxious. Like the greeter... Hopefully they had rules here.
This was clearly beyond her normal as if she was looking for something that was life or death. It was a mission, a journey, she could not explain to herself let alone anyone else. It seems her worries about anyone else was not a problem because she seemed to almost gain a tunnel like vision as she focused. Perhaps they would too not that she had to worry with her tunnel vision focusing on what was currently most important to her. She started at what seemed to be at the base of one of the trees she could not really be certain in her current state but none reacted to her. She continued like a wolf on the hunt for something she could not explain. Despite none calling out to her she could ever so slightly tell under the shells she sense it. Life yet it was not mobile yet. What was it waiting for? The answer was painfully obvious just not to her. Not yet anyways.
Continuing she made her way up the tree and found herself with the same reaction from these eggs. She jumped down with grace and found that by trying to climb the tree she had missed an area at the base. Something caused her to pause suddenly, violently, and look. There was something about this area that was different. It both called to her and pulsed... Which egg did it though? Was it the red one a little higher up from the ground? Was it the blackish grey one with swirls? No... No... Both seemed to ignore her when she when to check. When she went to see if it was the cotton candy like egg by passing by a navy blue egg with swirls of violet and skyblue she felt a strong pulse. Was it that one? Going even closer the pulse, the call, whatever you wanted to call it continued and got stronger as she went over to it.
What was it going to be she knew that there were different classes and that they were element based... That was pretty much all of her information about them besides they looked like dragons from the myths. She never expected herself to really find herself bound to anything. She was a loner and she expected that to always remain. Never assuming to gain herself someone who would be able to tolerate her. A so called bond mate. Yet here she was next to what looked like one of the smallest of the eggs pulsing like a heartbeat as she stood there trying not to look like a complete idiot. So this was it? She actually found this so called bond mate pull. None of the others reacted to her ever and here it was now happening... This was this actually happening right? She looked around. No one else was close enough to cause a reaction and it seemed to be her that was making this happen.
Did this mean she actually would end up unbound after all? She was not sure if she actually believed this. What was the protocol again to release a hatchling? Touch it? She thought trying to remember the stories of the bounded who enjoyed telling their stories of how they met their bondmates. Perhaps she should call the woman who had introduced herself in the beginning. She had mentioned something about giving advice or whatever if someone needed help... She did not want to do something wrong if this was her one and only change to have a bond mate. The whole point was to have one and she was the type to screw those type of things up. Swallowing pride and her loner personality she gave a raised arm and looked at the Kabit's direction to call her over. Not having enough in her to literally call her over. It was obvious this egg had something with her. Now to figure out if it was good or bad and what to do next.

Sitting on her perch, her ears drooping back along her head the Kabit slide down in her seat and kicked back. Every now and again Her lime green eyes would peek down at the group in very much the way a cat would during it's cat-naps. She'd noticed the twang of a wolf lurking about the cavern and thought to herself ~ how interesting these humans were, some had even been spliced with feral beasts. How quirky and unique of them. But then again they probably think I am a splice of some sort.~ This made her giggle a little. It wasn't long after this inner giggle that her lime eyes snatched the glimpse of Selene's meek hand raising slowly. ~Oh bad move new comer~ Mei thought mischievously before sliding her legs up and over the side of the branch. Her right hand slide along the wood as her body slid down. Giving a casual swing she dropped to a lower branch and took a leisure stroll straight off the end of the limb.
That was when things got really strange, for Mei did not fall, she didn't even drop, no instead like the damn Cheshire cat she walked as if on invisible stairs until she was high enough to make a bounding leap and landing beside Selene with not a sound. Her large paws shifted and straightened her stance as she lifted a sleeve covered hand before her mouth. "Yes, is there something you nee assistance with?" She purred stepping closer to the wolf girl. Lime eyes took in everything she could in a swift glance of the timid loner type female. This would not do.
Meanwhile, EGG # 2 called and gave a few slight twitches as if begging for Selene's touch. Once the Kabit showed up though the egg seemed to calm it's movement's and urging calls, as if from fear of this newcomer.

I'm tougher than nails I can promise you that Step out of line and you get bitch-slapped back A gun ready to blast It's the wild wild west and I'm fast cause I'm a badass
The silent girl had no idea the eggs had numbers or what she had just done to herself... Well maybe she did. From her introduction the woman was not exactly someone she would normally seek out but she only knew so much about the drak therefore she needed the person who was apparently an instructor of some sort to explain the large blanks she had in regards to this whole deal. She was still looking at the woman and apparently she had fun doing so. She did not fall down to the ground like some who were after finding their eggs were not at the top of the trees. She decided to pull off what she would have considered a magic trick as she seemed to walk down invisible stairs before she was low enough to make a leap and landed beside her. It did not make a sound but then again she was some sort of cat woman right? They had those paws and all.
At the end of the theatrics she took one of her large paws that was covered by a sleeve and brought it up to her mouth. She was then asked there was something she needed assistance with. Part of her wanted to bark out obviously because she never asked for help but it would be against what would be best for her so she bit back all her annoyance. She probably appeared timid or something which was an bother in itself. To be seen as timid or shy... One of those girls or women if you could pick up that she was not a young cadet that ended up being flustered. Honestly she just had no idea what to do and wanted to before leaving as soon as possible to get away from everyone. Not make a day of it. Timid was not the word... Anti-social was a better word for it. Well whatever she was not going to waste time explaining what may not even be a miscommunication.
The egg she was near seemed to be calming it's movement and odd calls for her as Mei came over. It was as if to solidify her thoughts about the whole bonding thing. Did this mean that the egg was truly meant for her? She sighed before trying to make her point without having to make a day of it. "So this is reacting to me so... I am suppose to put my hand on it?" She was going by what she heard by those who were obnoxious and bragged about their stories. She just wanted to make sure she did not make a fool of herself or harmed a drak. She did not want to take stories from annoying people and then be responsible for misinterpreting what an egg was doing even if it was effecting her in a way. At the answer being given to her she turned to the egg silently. A blank look on her face. Well it was all or nothing right?
With a steady mind but unsure hand she reached out the touched the egg. She half expecting the pulsing to stop all together now that she touched it. Perhaps as if to tell her to leave it alone or to say it was all in her imagination... Despite what she had been told. However it seemed her touch was the cataclysc that made the bond start. It was like no acid trip that anyone would ever be able to reproduce. It sent her reeling at she struggled to keep standing for a moment. Her eyes clenched shut and when they opened they were different. No longer were they a simple dull grey blue but they had a violet almost magenta around her iris and had a more vibrant blue to them as well. It was something one would have to get close to see but it was there not that she knew. She needed a mirror. Apparently against all her denial she had a bondmate.
The thing she did notice however after opening her eyes was that The egg she had touched that had been a darker blue with markings of sky blue and violet markings was now hatched. A now freshly hatched baby chirped from the egg it was still sitting inside and from the bonding the egg produced a beautiful hatchling. She looked into the eyes of this drak that had eyes of blue and violet of an intensity that almost shocked her and yet all it did was chirped at her in cheer. Free of it's shell and happy to be with the one it was fated to be bonded with. Selene had no clue just how this would change her life but she knew she wanted to leave. A part of her felt a happiness she had not felt in a long time if ever that she could honestly remember. However for now she knew she wanted to leave she got what she came for.
OCC: I kind of figured going by the 1 post 2 post that this is where the hatching would occur. I also have no idea if this actual occurs either but from Noxaura's waking her eyes changed so I figured that was a normal occurrence so I had it happen here. If that does not happen I can edit it and if it is suppose to happen to a more extreme let me know and I also can edit that. I also can edit this if she was not suppose to hatch her egg yet. template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

Mei couldn’t help but to smirk her fluffy over sized rabbit tail flicked to and fro as the girl before her finally spoke. Saying that the egg was reacting to her and then asking should she place her hand on it. Mei purred and nodded. “Yes all you need do is place your hand upon the shell that calls or pulls you towards it” she looked down at the smaller egg and smiled giving a soft purr the egg started to chirrup and squeak. Mei stepped back a good foot to give the Cadet some room. “Indeed but prepar….” She started but never got to finish, for Selene had put her pale hand palm down and the bond began! Rolling waves of pain ripped from the eggs surface into Selene’s body as the egg started to shift and shake beneath her touch. If she tried to pull away she could not, for her hand was locked to the surface of Egg#2’s shell. Cracks had began to form along it’s glossy shell and then suddenly icy fog poured from the cracks. The pain that ran rampant within her body was suddenly taken an icy factor almost like burning from the cold. Mei knew the girl would experience this pain for only a minute but it would feel like a whole lot longer. Then finally the pain ebbed and vanished as the egg splintered completely and a leathery deep blue wing stretched opened and the blue feathers shook the slime of her eggshell away. Violet eyes with an inner iris of brilliant sky blue focused on Selene before the Drak chirruped and skrawked at her for attention. To place your baby in your signature use this Code. [[Selene your post was good but just for future reference, You do not play what your drak does until after the Image goes up ^.^ (eg this post, but it's cool I liked your post. The pain factor could have been played up a bit more too but other wise AWESOMESAUCE POSTIE! and congrats you have you second baby! ]]

The instructor seemed to smirk at her due to what she had said about the egg reacting to her. She normally would have felt like walking out of here from dealing with such things but she needed to know what was with this egg and why she felt compelled to act against her normal personality. Well apparently Selene had heard correctly from those braggarts. Mei explained that all was needed was a hand upon the shell that called or pulled you towards it. The egg was small but it was calling her. It did not matter the size for whatever reason the egg seemed to want her and she was willing to give it a shot. So with that her arm went out and touched the egg. It seemed Mei went to explain something just as she did so. It was to prepare for something but it was something she never got to prepare for as lightning shot up from her fingers as if her hand was glued to the shell of the egg.
It continued as if ice itself was in her veins. She bit her lip and if she was not clenching her eyes so hard she may have noticed the taste of blood. The feeling continued as if her blood was turning into pure ice. Shards ripping into her skin from the inside out. Freezing her body to the point it wanted to shiver but if she did the pain would only reach and pitch. She felt her legs buckle a few times and her head swimming as if she was drowning. It was like a mission in the arctic without any safety to keep her skin from the elements. This continued as under her clenched eyes that now burned as if shards of broken shards stabbed into them turned from dull blue into vivid colors to match the small hatching that was bonding with Selene. As if frozen water was cracking to release a beast the egg formed cracked along it's glossy shell's surface.
If Selene thought what she was going through before was cold she could barely feel anything now as the pain went beyond what a body could tolerate and it went numb. Her head snapping back almost violently. Icy fog poured from the forming cracks and what was probably horrific minute to anyone watching felt like a lifetime to Selene as her body was violated by the feeling of drowning in icy cold pain. Then as quickly as it started from when it began in her fingers to where it had ended it soon stopped. She felt herself slowly open her eyes to a drak. Those things she saw others brag about. Catching her breath she had no idea of her own transformation but she saw that what was in front of her was majestic and worth all the pain she had just been through.
As the final waves of pain ebbed and flowed into nothingness the egg splintered completely. It showed a deep blue wing that stretched open and it also had blue feathers. These wings shook the slime of eggshell off. Eyes of violet with inner iris of brilliant sky blue focused on her before trying to get her attention with many noises. Selene could only stare back unable to believe this drak was hers. She had seen many before. All colors and sizes... Many having aged to a teen. Rare but she had seen it happen. Yet this was her drak. One she would be raising and likely now fighting beside. Without any doubt it made anything she had gone though today especially worth it. This creature was beyond anything she could imagine. How could a lone wolf like her get something so colorful.
Selene was silent for a moment in awe at this drak that was now her bondmate before she heard Mei speak softly. Who knew that the instructor was able to speak softly... Well she did look like she was part cat perhaps it was possible if she wanted. She asked what she wanted to call the hatchling that was chirping and skrawing up at her for attention. With a swift though at the scale coloration and the obvious blues one word slip past her lips. "Undine... It was like she was the water herself. Save for the violets but even the water had it's secrets. Like on a sunset or within the light blue waters she remembered from earth that held coral. The name fit so perfectly. At more attention she felt herself put a hand on the head of the drak. Well it seemed she was no longer a unbounded outsider and the wait was well worth it.
Ahh okay see this is the first time I played the actual hatching of it officially. With Noxaura, Ambrose had her hatchling all ready to go before she was awake so I was able to control them both. I kind of was just going by what happened with Noxaura hence the eye change and everything. I could have gone more violent and was tempted to edit it but at the time of typing it was like 2am so I just said a few big words and went with that lol weak I know so this time I went all out. Thanks for the compliment though! template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

-Mei watched the girl as she looked upon her new Mage Class Drak and named her. A purr slipped through her lips as she smiled "A very good name indeed. "She kneeled down where she was her large feet splaying to support her weight. "This is a Mage Class Drak Companion, though she is small I see Great Potential in fine Undine. They prefer fish and fruits, insects and some vegetables or greenry. But they are much easier to take care of, they normally do all the cleaning. Just a good steam bath every once in a while will pleassse them" She remarked hoping to fill the New Cadet in a little about her new companion before she attempted a swift escape. "Now, I should warn you ... Now that you've made a Bond your ablet o access the pool of Aether shared between yourself and Undine. It believe she will be a rather strong Water Element so be careful. Aether powers come at the price of energy from within your own soul. If you use to much, you can kill yourself. So don't go trying to bring a torrential wave just yet, your Soul and thus your Drak's Soul will strengthen in time. " Her ears flicked back and forwards, she didn't like water all that much, but Kabit's weren't afraid of hateful towards the element.
Mei stood tall again and flicking her tail a few times she glanced about the room to be sure that no other Cadets needed her assistance just yet. No aura popped out to her so her lime irises returned to Selene and she continued. "Now to access your Aether simply shut your eyes and follow the pull of your drak's mind since she's a mage you'll probably hear a song. " She yawned and held a hand before her face to shield her slightly frightening canines from view. It seemed she was bored with this conversation, which she had to give every time a new clutch came to hatch. She'd been a Nurse hand for almost 300 years now, so it was easy to say these types of proceedings were becoming boring for her.- ((Sorry my posts have been crap here Ive been having a rough patch. But I promise to get better posts going soon.))

WORD-2307 NOTES:Yes Azi's eyes were already changed when she first wakes up don' worry it's a twist for later.
| The hell you Did ✘
The world was drifting in and out of nightmare and reality as her frail form floated through darkness. But that’s a tell for another time, for she would forget all of the darkness as a in her seemingly silent sleep a crimson light cut across her focus and blurred all realities into nothingness. Her true self would convulse to set off a chain reaction of noises and movement outside the crystalline and wooden casket. But in her mind the light only grew bloodier until the young girl felt she was going to suffocate. Something was wrong with her true self… she knew it… And as if in the knowing, triggered her awakening, she wasn’t sure.
Outside through crystal Nurse Hands would notice as the blaring alarms sounded stasis shock, but upon approach, only to find a pair of violet and acidic pink rage filled eyes. The glare she sent to those outside may have sent a chill or two down ones spine, but in the midst of her rage the young girl did the unthinkable.
As the casing started to decompress, plumes of silky dry ice to spill along the floor, and the young girl helped the door along with a suddenly violent kick into the inner face of it, the wooden and crystal frame screeched and Lantian nurse hands all held their ears wincing from the pain of it. The young girl took advantage of her now open casket; snatching the three deep I.V.s from her right arm she didn’t even flinch. Her feet slide from forward kick to crouching beneath her rump as she prepared to spring for freedom. Her strangely colored eyes flicking this way and that to collect as much data from around her that she could while pushing off from the casket.
Her small form slid through the air lengthening just before her arch brought her towards the floor, where she quickly tucked herself into a ball and rolled into a crouch. But she didn’t stop there, she’d already found the exit in the strange hall like room, other humans were moving about, and many of the Lantians’ were recovering from their pain as they noticed the escapee. But even the Lantians couldn’t seem to catch up to her as she whirled out of the door way her hand hooking on the frame to pull her trajectory back around the wall.
Her she finally skidded to a stop giving her right arm a quick flick and spreading a small pattern of blood behind her. She glanced left and right her left hand coming back to brush away her choppy raven’s blue hair. She only needed a moment to process her best escape but as she turned to make her way back in the opposite direction her body suddenly locked. Searing pain ran through her entire body and she suddenly fell face first onto the corridor. But still she didn’t cry out, nor did she show any other signs of pain, something was wrong with her body she could feel it.
The Lantian’s guardsmen had caught up finally, long spears directed at Azi’s tiny prone form. She only glared at them as a Nurse Hand came through yelling at the guards that she was just a child. ~You wish~ She thought eyes cutting to the Lantian woman as she kneeled down beside the girl and further shielded her from the Guards’ men. “Your okay…” she finally directed to the girl. “Your on Atlantis… I’m sorry but your one of the only surviving humans left out of only 2% of your race….” The lantian directed her strange eyes away from the girls feeling something crawl about her flesh whenever she locked eyes for to long with her. She continued as she picked up the girls right arm and helped her to sit up as her body convulsed. “Your alright now… here let me bandage that up before you leak all over the place” She gave a nervous giggle and went to work anything to keep her eyes from the girls. “What is your name? Where you rescued with any family?”
The girl sat firmly rigid while the woman touched her but she gave no response. Only looked down at her arm where the dark crimson blood slipped from her veins. ~It tickles…~. Then once her arm was wrapped up the woman met her gaze again and quickly veered her attention to the guards who stood in a protective circle about them still. “Oh shoo it’s probably just the medicines giving her an Adrenaline Spike, be on with you… “ She sighed and shook her head and stood dragging the girl with her. “Don’t worry child, your memories will return in time, the medicine we had to put you on during the Shift has caused many problems we had not expected. Humans are such frail things… “
“Then why did you steal us for your war?” She looked into the Lantian’s eyes cutting her off. She’d known of the war, she’d been in the trenches, it hadn’t taken a rocket scientist to figure out what the hell had happened, Earth was gone, and she knew it, but what was strange was still she gave no emotional response other than the glare.
The woman cleared her voice and sighed, “I’m afraid I’m probably not the best person to brief you. Your Wing Captain will make things much more clear after the bonding. In fact Guardsmen, this Cadet woke in response to the Taurus hatching I believe, will you please escort her there…Thank you “ she gave no room for refusal and the young girl was passed over to the rather burley young male Lantian soldier. The minute his hands touched her she jumped back and away from him. “Whoa … whoa… calm down Okay I won’t have to touch you come along then little jumpy human…” He turned and without even seeing if she followed started on his way.
The girl thought to make a run for it, but something was keeping her from doing it, never before had she held such a inner query. But finally the young lady clothed in some ratty denims, and an even rattier jacket over a dingy t back tank that supported what looked like doodles all over it’s front, how cute….
She caught up with the Lantian her body starting to release from the convulsions she wondered if the Lantian’s shoved all their new recruits right out, when she was still in clear need of repair. She looked down at her arm and fiddled with the bandages, ~What in the hell is this stuff…~ She thought as she picked the material. “Stop it!” The Lantian scolded “You’ll need it re-bandaged if you do and I’ll have to take you back to Nena.” He said glancing at her finally and winking. The girl only tilted her head he was an odd ball. But none-the-less she left her injured arm alone and instead started to focus on their surroundings. She was in a LONG corridor that seemed to run in a never ending turn. The walls were made from what could only be mother of pearl, all rainbow and shiny iridescent the girl got a little lost in the colors for a moment. But the young man called back “So what’s your name?” Everyone kept asking her so she would have to say eventually right? “Azqua Ulrish from the European providence. “ The Lantian smiled and turned to walk backwards away from her. “Nice to meet you Azi” He thrust a hand out “That’s strange, you know one of the Patrons has the very same name as you” The girl quirked a brow before her continued clumsily “Oh my name is Eyonit. “ He thrust a hand out to her as he walked backwards. Azi didn’t take his hand but continued to follow him as their scenery suddenly expanded.
As the turning corridor opened up a wide vaulting half orb ceiling towered from on high it’s surface moving and reflecting much like the light of water would, only through stained glass! Azqua had to admit it was beautiful. She almost has to tear her eyes out to look at anything else but finally she trailed down the gigantic columns that encircled the large orb like grand hall. Many corridors and off shoots exited the main hall their were also cross roads that spanned the cavernous bottom half of the orb, and all along the walls of the bottom half of the hall was lined in shops and homes, a literal city ran on above, around and below them.
Azqua shifted in her stance in a dizzing circle this was almost to much for her. She’d heard that Atlantis was gigantic but really now! Yong Eyonit came to stand at her side by the railing before the plummet. “Careful now, don’t want you going splat… We need to get you over to the hatchery now come on before you miss all the action!” He turned and jogged ahead she shook her head and followed.
They jogged on for what seemed like eternity and azqua’s tiny legs, and lungs were just about to give out when finally their path led them to a lift which they alone occupied as the doors slide shut. Azqua fell against the wall of the tiny room and caught her breath, all the while her eyes watched Eyonit , she rarely even blinked. Finally the silence and her staring seemed to break him. “So you know Azi, your eyes are rather strange in color” He half joked as it slipped from his mouth. She did not like when he called her azi but she turned her eyes to peer through her own gaze as it reflected from the glassy window pane before them.
He was right her eyes were strange “They used to be blue” She mumbled apathetically. She didn’t seem bothered by her new eyes though. They were strange though, the saturated pink claring through the darker crimson outer rings gave her a demonic look; especially from behind the current of raven black bangs. She looked away from her own eyes unable to bare her own haunted gaze. Others didn’t really understand the dark anger that brewed on her young girls face, but she did sadly everytime she caught her reflection she felt as though she were watching each and every horrid thing that had happen to her all over again. But what was worse, was the pity she saw in her reflections eyes, and it made her want to smash it.
“We almost there?” she asked as the doors slid open. She glanced at Eyonit and he nodded so she took the first step out into there environment. This place was all green and blue, oddly enough, but smelled amazing and fresh. Still no response azqua simply takes the trail most beaten and makes her way on into the forest standing before them. Eyonit had started to trail back a little as they walked and azqua understood why, more and more guards were appearing at the sides of the trail they took. Each on guard against who knew what, Azqua ignored them and walked on.
Finally towering before her was the hatcheries green, wood and crystal entrance. ~This just keeps getting further down the rabbit hole~ She mused inwardly before finally walking in. The guards spared her nothing as they went on guarding like bloodie statues. But finally Azqua was in the right place it appeared. This had to be the hatchery. The crystalline trees gathered in clusters some holding eggs, some with proud empty branches. But nonetheless the place was rather dark and hard to navigate while her eyes adjusted,
Once her vision did clear she made her way towards the group of mixed Humans and Lantians. But she watched as Something dropped from the limbs of a crystal tree to help some other raven-haired young lady. Azqua finally realized that Eyonit had left her completely wondered what she was supposed to do here. The other’s were moving about the eggs by now and Azqua simply stood peering from the shadow of a nearby tree.
Many of them seemed to move as if in a trance toward his or her own egg, no one seemed to approach the same one. But as Azqua swept the eggs she wondered if she just wasn’t close enough to feel whatever hallucinogenic they were tripping on. Maybe it was a dust or particle the egg shells emitted? Curious. She continued to wonder up until her eyes passed the black shell with violet and blue tribal like markings upon its shell. Something akin to a heartbeat blasted through her entire being. She gasped her recovering system still not ready for something like this she turned to make her way out but found she no longer controlled her body. Something was physically dragging her forward as if by undertow her legs moved and her body had to follow.
As she approached the tree though her movements became much more animalistic, she took to the tree like a cat as she scaled it’s various limbs with ease. She perched though on the branch before the egg watching it with those leering eyes. The egg twitched and started to crack, vents of scalding steam rushed from within the egg and a loud shriek called out. Azqua’s right hand pressed against the shell as the pain rolled through her. Still no outward response she just glared at the egg waiting as wave after wave of boiling water churned through her veins and made her eyes water profusely. She choked and coughed as if drowning but still she glared at the egg with those leering eyes. And all the while the shrieking sound of the egg venting steam wailed on to echo through the hall.

I'm tougher than nails I can promise you that Step out of line and you get bitch-slapped back A gun ready to blast It's the wild wild west and I'm fast cause I'm a badass
With the pain gone from her body she gave an almost wolfish yawn. She stretched as well giving a strong reach of her arm above her head and pulling on it while cocking her hip. The feeling felt wonderful especially after it felt like ice had just speared her like a piece of meat for a kabab. Looking she noticed her drak was trying to copy her in an almost obnoxious manner. She gave it an raised eye, one she still did not realized was no longer the color she had been birthed with but a lighter blue with violet speckled in. Demonic looking probably to humans but she had been pretty damn demonic in general with her rages so who gave a damn. When the drak seemed to notice it's bondmate was no longer doing strange motions that seemed to bring pleasure it gave a small squeal of surprise and creased it's awkward attempts almost as if it was embarrassed. Selene had to pause at that. Not that she expected these things to be crazed demonic killing machines or anything but did these things actually have distinct personalities? Like as in how crazy cat ladies or proud dog owners raved about how their fourteen cats or dogs all were different because one had a sense of humor or one was an old soul? Not that she was against animals. That in itself would be an oxymoron seeing she was pumped with wolf genes but she was a human with wolf genes not a wolf... So she knew how it felt sort of but not enough to be like yes we have feelings motherfuckers. Or to be a crazy animal activist. Not that before the earth went kaboom there was many animals to really be activistic about. Mostly those crazy cat lovers and proud dog owners were stories she heard about. By the time she came to be life on earth was basically hell on earth as people knew it. Hence the whole genetic experiments and mad doctors.
She had been idling with these thoughts not exactly sure if she was suppose to wait for everyone to either find their egg or simply leave. She was not a people person. Lone wolf was ironic but true. She was not sure how the protocol worked however. Was the whole group suppose to wait here and go together like they came or something? If so she was in for a long wait there were at least twenty eggs and everyone was still bumbling about... With a slight heave of a sigh she wished she could just leave but that likely was rude. Bondmates or not it was not likely they would take the drak away but like a double blade she could not exactly break any rules... She felt her eyes narrow in boredom which was probably for the best. If it came to rage she likely would black out and might end up be put to sleep like a rabid dog... Rescued or not they had no idea who they had rescued and what she was like personality wise. If it was simply because of this bond it was hardly worth it. Shame for the drak she was not without compassion. Perhaps that was her downfall but her psychotic outlashes often caused other people to be harmed or be put in harms way. It seemed like if they were going to use her for a warrior just because she bonded with a drak they were going to be sadly mistaken when she ended up snapping like a twig randomly. Not that she planned on doing it. She just was like some Vietnam vet. With her eyes peeled for nothing in particular she noticed something. Curse her genetics but sometimes she noticed things she rather not notice. There was a girl who looked decently young in the shadows of the nearby tree.
Something about this girl seemed... Off. Then again that would be calling the kettle black. What about her was on? As others continued to follow the pull of their bondmates she watched this other girl with raven hair. She seemed to have a similar look on her face she imagined she had about this whole thing. At least she was not the only one who did not go into this starry eyed and expecting the world to explode into magic fairytales of happy happy joy joy. She took a moment to notice the other Cadets seem to move like zombies almost. Some more hyper some more elegant but still all moving driven by a force all shared one thing. None went towards the same direction. Obviously once the pull was found it was followed easily enough and then like herself you got your bondmate. Speaking of which her bondmate was peering over her shoulder. If she had to say one thing about Undine is was that she was rather obnoxious. If she had a sense of humor she might have laughed at the goofy attempts she made at trying to see what she was looking at or attempts at copying her but she just watched in semi amusement at the fact it seemed that she seemed to have a rather humorous sense of being and that meant despite what she was she obviously had her own personality. While she gave a moment to pat Undine which got her a chirpy purr she found herself drawn to that other raven haired girl again. It seemed that she found her bondmate from the reaction. Sensitive ears picking up on a gasp despite the distance.
She imagined she likely felt something akin to what she felt although she had no clue as to what. Was it pulsing was it that skip a beat in your heart? She had no clue perhaps it was different for everyone or perhaps it was all the same. It seemed like the zombie curse took the already slightly off girl and made her walk her way towards what seemed to be causing the disturbance in her. It was interesting to watch being the people watcher she was. Is this how she looked a few moments ago? Her thoughts on the subject were cut short as it seemed like the egg dragged her forward as if by a wave sweeping her off her feet. Interesting how ironic would it be if she got a water elemental too. She had remembered what Mei? Had said about there being elements. She supposed there were four elements likely due to Undine being water. She had met others with air, fire, and earth. Never any other. So she did not suppose the black meant anything such as poison as a type. Unless they were beginning to crossbreed or something. It would certainly be interesting to see just what element the girl got. As she got closer though she became almost animalistic. For a moment Selene pondered if she had animal genes but then again if she was just a girl from earth like she was who needed animal genes to be animalistic? Up the tree she went with ease. She perched on the branch before the egg however just watching it. Hmm perhaps she was waiting to touch it? After a moment the egg twitched causing Selene to narrow her eyes so her eyes could see the distance better.
Vent's of scalding steam rushed from within the egg and a loud shriek called out. Well this was different. Then the right hand of the girl was pressed against the shell. Seeming to roll with the pain as it thundered through her. Yet no outward response to it. She just seemed to glare at the egg. As if angry at it. Selene's ears twitched as she heard her choke and cough. Was it air? No... Her egg had done the same thing with the venting through the cracks... That choking and coughing was not for air from an air element but because she needed air because of a water element. She just had that happen. It made her wonder if this is how they all worked or if mixed elements reacted differently. Did they all cause pain? Did they all crack and vent? Was she assuming to much? Undine had been a water type. If this was fire did that mean that fire was felt? With earth thorns? Although it seemed like all pointed towards water from her own experience she could not be certain. Just a guess is all it was but it seemed like it might be a water type like she had. She looked at Undine... Would she know what the other's elements were? At the confused but cheerful almost puppy like look she gained at looking her drak in the eyes she decided that it was indeed probably not an ability a drak had at least not at this point anyways if ever.
After a moment the smell of salt from... Tears reached her nose. Odd was she crying? Well perhaps despite her calm she was indeed in pain and it was just in her nature to not scream and be melodramatic like some. She was not privy to the glare that this girl was giving the egg but she was able to soon hear the shrieking sound of the egg venting stream and it's echo through the hall. Undine took to hiding under her jacket which looked ridiculous as it mostly hid her head and neck. The rest of her was plain as day to see. Selene while not having wolf ears used her muscles in her head to pin her ears back. Which unfortunately for her did nothing. So she uncrossed her arms and covered her ears. Was all of the eggs going to be as loud and crazy as this? Between the egg itself hatching and the people themselves convulsing in pain which would no doubt in itself cause people to turn heads and cover ears. If not throw glances at each other. Even if you went through it to see someone else go through it was weird. To her it was just annoying. With a sigh the sound continued but she figured eventually the egg would either explode open or the hatchling would finally give into the bonding and finally the noise would crease. Hopefully soon because this was giving her a migraine and she hated migraines...
I would have gone longer but I really did not have much else to go on haha and I am super hungry so I am going to go get some fuel haha in any case hopefully it is a good enough post.

LIFE is a maze and love is a riddle
The day was a glorious one. Bells told of how cadets would be waking, collecting themselves, and all together gathering to the spot to find their bondmate. It was a glorious day indeed. This is what she had been waiting for. A petite girl with blond hair and blue green eyes stood with a posture that could rival any royalty. Yet nothing of the sort was on her mind. The eggs and what they contained was what she was after. Ever since her family slipped up and thought they were protecting her and projected her life into that of a Cadet she was free to do what she wanted and this life would now be helping others. No books, no people watching, no stories could prepare her for this nor would it compare to when it actually happened to her. To find her own bondmate would be something she would never forget. If she looked regal with her flowing tresses and composed face not far under that nailed into head composure was an eruption of curiosity, excitement, and hopefulness. She was not sure what to expect but she knew that from the cheers that it was nothing but good things. Well perhaps not but to her it meant nothing but good things. She never was one to look at the glass half empty in fact it always was full seeing their was air in the glass with the water.
Keeping up with everyone she fought the urge to burst ahead. It would be rude yet a part of her was so sick of royal customs she really did not need to focus on she wished she could actually let her hair down... Yet she kept in perfect pace and just let the build up feed her happy fantasies which once inside were not let down. A woman who seemed to be part cat and part rabbit sat in a tree but these trees were aether. She let her mouth open ever so slightly in awe as she looked up and around her. She tried to keep her attention on the instructor however. It would be horribly rude to not listen and miss something. Embarrassing too if she had to ask a question that had already been explained! A sneeze caught her attention. Her head was already up and therefore she did not need to do much when a Yoo-Hoo was let up. A hello and welcome was given along with a good morning for some. She gave a soft smile at that. This instructor was rather friendly. And her family had been worried she was going to be broken... Sometimes she wished she had done something sooner when she had first realized what had been going on. So the one who would be helping them was named Meilenn. She kept not of that in case she needed help.
She heard a purr despite the woman being up in the tree. It was interesting. If she read correctly this was a Kabit. She read about them. Kabits were from Titan. However she knew of earth animals who were similar basically a split of what a Kabit was. The faces of some of the human cadets were priceless. She gave a soft giggle. She supposed living where humans had just recently started to wake up and come into gave her a bit of an edge. At least it meant the instructor did not surprise her to the point it likely should have. Then again with some good books most would not be surprised. She however supposed the ones that had been awake like she had been and yet not bonded yet focused on fighting and training not just remembering what books said training and sparring was. That is what she lacked. She would have to work on that. Where a better place then bonding with her very own drak? Someone who could and would learn beside her? With a soft smile she listened to the instructions. To shut your eyes and follow that full. The call of the aether.
She watched as Meilenn swept her arm to the tree beside the one she was resting on. She also made a note not to despair if you do not hear the call. Mentioning that other clutch trees may be ready sooner than you would think. She smiled before nodding and waiting for the Cadets to make their way towards the so called pull. She felt a slight panic and depression. What happened if her bondmate was not here? She tried to fight the feeling as she calmly walked towards the tree. Some of the eggs were higher up. Some were already climbing the tree like they had been climbing trees their whole lives and she just gave a small pout. She was not exactly able to do that type of thing. What happened if her egg was one of the top eggs? Would she be able to feel the pull from here or was she destined to leave thinking she did not have one and both were doomed? It sent a chill down her spine but after a moment something pulsed and caught her attention. It was weak but it was enough to get her eyes off the Cadet tree climbers up high and towards the floor to her surprise.
With a few steps in a neutral direction towards the tree she felt another pulsing pull. She took a breath to calm herself. If she was feeling it then even if it was high up then it meant that she was able to get someone to help her out. She did not know but she figured if she needed someone would be able to help her bond with her egg if it was to high for her to reach but.... That would be the irony right? If she was to find her bondmate should it not know her weaknesses? Or was she reading to much into this? With a few more neutral but careful steps she felt the pull and it was stronger. She closed her eyes and as if following the scent of freshly picked flowers she simply let her feet follow the soft pulsing pull towards what she hoped would be her bondmate. She figured in all her dignity she probably looked like an idiot. It was only when she heard noises a few feet away from her and the voice of Meilenn that she noticed she had basically gone into a trance. She noticed a dark haired girl touching a darkish blue egg. Suddenly she looked like as if she was going to die.
She blinked and brought up a hand in shock. It was petrifying to watch. She had never seen it happen. She had heard that pain was involved but it looked as if she was being possessed by something otherworldly. After a few moments she seemed to resume enough to give the drak which was vibrant and cheerful a name. A girl that was someone she would not likely go near... She seemed rather depressive or at least had a weird edge to her that said to stay away. Yet if she could say anything she could have sworn that the eyes she saw the drak wield was shared with the girl. Would that happen to her? Was it bad that she felt almost deviously amused by how upset her family would be if her 'eyes of gems' would be 'tarnished' by 'scaled disgust' to put it simply. Well they could not do anything now. She was free from them, she was a Cadet, and she was going to find that pull now that Undine and her bondmate were farther away from where the pulsing seemed to be coming from.
Giving a weak smile to Meilenn as she came over she noticed the egg next to the one that just hatched gave a extremely strong pulse at her pausing next to the kabit. It almost made her heart skip a beat. Looking at it she was surprised. It was not as vibrant as some of the others and made her wonder just laid under the shell. She looked at the Kabit who happened to just be where she needed her to be. "Uh so I just do what that woman did right?" She said softly. Not able to change her voice after years of speaking like this. At confirmation and mention of preparing for pain she gave a deep breath and a nod. She expected pain after seeing what that other woman went through but she did not go this far to chicken out. Closing her eyes and exhaling she placed her palm on the egg. At first she wondered if she would be spared the pain but then her palm felt as if she touched a cactus. Then it began to burn and from where her palm was glued onto the shell she bit her lip. It felt as if she was going to pass out as an almost feverish like feeling took over. Poison and thorns digging into her fingers and this was just the beginning... She did not even notice the other girl.
